Light tanks now obsolete? Or countries appear incapable of making one?

... What are you talking about?  The Chinese just announced a new light tank, along with an export variant of the same.  The Royal Thai Army still uses their Stingrays, Argentina still has TAMs, the PLA has ditched their Type 62s, but something like half a dozen other countries still use them.

You really need to do basic research before you post things, that is, if you wish to escape your reputation as a hopeless idiot.  Posting in complete sentences would also help.

To be precise, Chinese light tank have a weight of ~35 tons, which is kind of "medium" tank levels. Although yes, many countries use light tanks, all other vehicles acting like a light tank.
