   in the USSR / Russia, phosphorus is not used in smoke ammunition, two types of smoke-forming compounds are used:
   anthracene + potassium chlorate + ammonium chloride;
   titanium-magnesium powder + aluminum powder + hexachloroethane + sulfur.

 

   It should also be emphasized that there are no special prohibitions on the use of white / red phosphorus in hostilities.

   The picture from NKR shows the action of a typical incendiary ammunition (most likely with pyrogel), there is no phosphorus in it.

   No. After the invention of napalms, termites and pyrogels, incendiary ammunition is not used anywhere. Well this is the technological and storage horror. They equip bombs underwater at the arsenals. Any microscopic contact with air is inflammation.

   Yes. There are also bonbs with termite balls. They fly beautifully, almost like fireworks stars, one might say - in formation. Not like the pyrogel bunches - a disorderly crowd.

Armenians claim to have shot down a manned aircraft. Hard to say from the video but the aftermath does not look like usual UAVs.

   Those 2 are interesting. First one is attack against cortege of SUVs on 31st Oct. During that day claims of assasination of president of NKR started to flow around, but NKR claimed that those are fake.

   I suspect that Azeri/Turkish drones operator targeted wrong cars, but president could have been in that convoy during attack. They hit one car in convoy with guided bomb, then hit with cluster anti-infantry submunitions, but most of those subs hit field about 10-40 meters away from convoy. Then they decided to finish off evac cars with guided bombs or missiles.

 

 

   Second one - same day, Su-25 was used to strike targets near Khojavend, which is unusual. Almost all, if not 100% of all airstrikes so far where done using recon drones, loitering munitions and UCAVs. In this video it most likely was used to drop KAB (guided bomb) from safe distance, and recon drone with laser designator done rest of the job. Note how first attack was done - firt hit against clustered group of infantry, waited until another group of soldiers gather to help and Azeri hit again.

I have noticed that too. Are Azeri Su-25 able to launch KAB-L bomb series? They got all of their ones by quite obscure ways and all of those were quite old used ones (one of those is even ex-Czechoslovak/ex-Georgian). Was there ever any news about their modernisation (not saying it could not have been done). 

 

In theory it could be also a cover action for Turkish F-16 strike (again not saying it was one).

   Red - Karabakh

   Azerbaijan captured over 2050 sq. km of Karabakh officially, estimated as high as 2400, about 20-22% of territory of Artsakh/Karabakh. According to this map it can be as high as 35%. Not much time left before winter weather, with clouds, rains and cold air (that could drop below 0 degrees C in nights), according to forecast weather will get worse after next 5-7 days. Airforces/drone usage/effectiveness will drop because of clouds and rains.
