LoooSeR
That single BMP-3 was exactly one i told about already - check this thread, there is a video from that road. It is very likely to be destroyed by AT mine. There are not many IFVs that can survive anti-tank mines, not just IEDs.

That BMP-3 looks like it was hit by an ATGM.
LoooSeR
Why it "should"? if it was hit by ATGM, it would leave a hitmark and not a big hole (smaller that missile caliber) in armor, because of HEAT warhead.

Wouldn't the ATGM destroy the ammo, which would destroy the whole IFV?

Mohamed A
It would most likely burn down rather than exploding. Hmm.. Still, that damage is too strange for an AT mine. Too big.
LoooSeR
There are all sorts of AT mines, with HEAT, EFP or just 10 kgs of explosives in it. Add here how deep particular mine was. Mine also can detonate ammo or set propellant charges on fire. Mohamed A
Toxn
Or they could have stacked a bunch of mines on top of each other. Or stuck an artillery shell just under the mine. This tendency can be seen any time you add boys and explosives together.

The IED composed of 4 155mm artillery shells (each one ~ 55kg). Managed to deactivate it though thankfully. Mike E

In Iraq and Afghanistan they've seen almost everything used as IEDs. aircraft bombs, artillery shells etc, Whatever they can get their hands on. CrashbotUS
-1 M1A2S http://www.youtube.com/watch?t=276&v=PN6W_pFq7AA I didn't see one destroyed here. Just a small arms firefight, what looks like a broken down M! (that seems functional as they moved the turret to travel lock), and an air strike on a hut? LoooSeR
-1 doesn't mean that it was destroyed. SA victorious army lost it, so -1 tank in their hands.

Khand-e
Seeing those Oshkosh things destroyed is a good sight. You can't destroy an Oshkosh, you can only make it even more repulsive and spread it's parts to infect even more places at once.
