LostCosmonaut
http://luft46.com/ Some of the designs are fairly reasonable; Others, not so much; Germany, stop, that's not how you design an airplane; Are you even trying? Post your most (or least) favorite wehraboo dream planes.
Priory_of_Sion
I've read the only reason why these things exist is that the aircraft designers wanted to convince Goering and Hitler that they were important enough to be spared fro being sent to the frontlines. I like this physical plane better than wet dream napkin doodles. Belesarius

Priory_of_Sion
that's not the Avro Arrow, tho... Maybe Canadians think that every plane is the Avro Arrow?

Belesarius
I expected non-meme profile pictures. I'll get around to changing it at some point. I generally rotate several. This one amused me at the time I registered on here. I haven't found anything I find suitably epic for here as of yet.
SuperComrade
I've always liked the Focke-Wulf Triebflügel for how silly it looks

It's a cool plane, but if I remember right it had some with oscillation because after all it's a plane with two large masses on opposite sides of the fuselage, so the fuselage tended to want to flex. Also it was no faster than the P-47M and the J was much faster and those only took one engine to do it. I do have to say it's funny browsing through napkinwaffe and recognizing planes that got adapted for Crimson Skies. Sturgeon

xthetenth
Like the A-37, loose shoelaces are a serious FOD ingestion risk.

LostCosmonaut
"Hey guys, check out this sweet new fighter I drew on a napkin." "Where does the pilot go?" "Bollocks." Xlucine, Sturgeon and LoooSeR
xthetenth
That makes sense, when the engine explodes it'll propel the pilot out of the way of the empennage.
Collimatrix
I wonder what would happen to the airflow into the engines at high alpha: Also, they found a way to place the engines so that they move the CG way back while still greatly increasing moment of inertia about the roll axis. Impressive.
Toxn
It even sucks in pilots trying to bail out. Truly the complete package... Belesarius
Collimatrix
Per the Luft '46 entry, those are ramjets, so they shouldn't be producing much suction. But that does raise the question of how on earth the thing gets up to speed in the first place.
LostCosmonaut
I'm guessing some sort of rocket booster, but I'm not sure. I don't think they would have any aircraft that could carry it and get it up to a high enough speed for the ramjets to work well.
Xlucine
It was to be powered by a Walter HWK rocket engine for take-off So all the fun of rocket propellant, that should be a lot safer than german turbine designs
