Slide says 1 PKT but shows 1 rotating MG and 1 coaxial. What gives? Also who thought putting that MG to only cover one side is a good idea?

 

And if anyone could explain to me Russia's massive hard-on for dual autocannons, that would be great.

I assume it has to do with ammo feed systems but that can't be efficient.

There is 3 MGs on that turret. What is that massive hard-on? There are almost no vehicles in service with 2 autocannons.

And the hard-on refers to the BMPT project, which hadn't entered service, and the turret shown in the presentation you showed.

That Type 59 is fitted with an unusual British 105mm main gun (along with other new components), as part of a British-Chinese upgrade project. Here's a better pic from Tankfest 2018 last week...
