But the whole point of an IFV was a vehicle that could carry infantry into combat and fight along side , and if  .50bmg is already a threat to BMP1 and 2 then its hard pressed as and IFV , BMO can probably handle all the HMG and even some cannon plus basic RPG ,making up for poor troop enty/exit (note number of early israeli HAFV built on tanks had similar over the top exit)

BMO-T is not much different than BMP in roof height

While front entry exit is not the most practical , its still better than not having a heavy APC at all. Frontal exit was the easiest to make on a tank chassis

According to the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern, at the #Army2022 Forum in front of the B pavilion, you can see the PRP-5 mobile reconnaissance post.

PRP-5 (product 1V1017) will be demonstrated for the first time. It is intended for reconnaissance of enemy targets and maintenance of ground artillery firing in various weather conditions. PRP-5 is capable of searching, detecting, recognizing and determining the coordinates of open and camouflaged, single and group, moving and stationary enemy objects (targets), maintenance of artillery firing day and night, reconnaissance of the area, escort of columns. PRP-5 reconnaissance and combat assets are placed on the BMP-3 tracked chassis.

I have sort of a silly question.

Would the "Ilyich's eyebrows" BDD style add-on  armor work on the T-72(M,M1,B) frontal amor?

Yes, they would "work" in narrow sense, aka provide more armor. But those add-on armor kits for frontal armor have lots of problems, for example turret balance, weight, driver head and so on.

Vehicle "Chekan" on the chassis URAL 432007-0111-31.

An armored personnel carrier weighing about 16 tons is armed with a 14.5-mm KPVT and a PKT machine gun of 7.62x54 mm caliber. The standard optical sight has a magnification of 2 and 12. A thermal imager is integrated into the sighting system. To control the combat situation, the vehicle is equipped with several video cameras with a 360-degree view. The troop compartment can accommodate 18 people with equipment. The armor provides protection against small arms.

From video - vehicle is 16t, 80km max on the road, chassis and suspension were modified for better cross country mobility, some parts of suspension received protection.

One of vehicle hit a TM anti-tank mine, crew and passangers were ok (i guess thanks to front wheels being far forward from people). KPVT allows to engage enemies even at 3km. Normal total ammoload for KPVT is 350, but can be easily increased if needed.

That know video of a Black fleet tank shooting at UAF T-64BV from close range - now with footage from both sides and a bit of context:

Location - Egorovka (under Russian control) and Pavlovka villages (UAF).

Black sea fleet tanks after encountering UAF T-64BV moved back, looks like they were not expecting troops here (not far from that place Russian Grads were firing, footage in the end of the video), during retreat one vehicle got hit. Forest where convoy found T-64BV was a place of low-intensity exchanges with drone dropped bombs and few wounded, but Ukrainian video starts with artillery/MRLS strike on that forest, which caused Russian armor to move in, maybe for wounded. Video also shows attempted evac of wounded soldier and BMP-3 eating ATGM after taking wounded soldier in same area.

Presumably, the tank acquired a 1PN96MT-02 sight with a thermal imaging channel and a laser rangefinder, which was demonstrated at the Army-2022 exhibition. Replacing the hopelessly outdated 1K13 night sight, the new thermal imager will allow the tank gunner to detect targets at a distance of up to 3000 meters, which is an undoubted step forward for a vehicle like the T-62M.

Recall that recently there was information that the 103rd BTRZ, also located in Transbaikalia, was engaged in the repair and modernization of more than 800 units of T-62M tanks. It is possible that the mobilized received the first units of these tanks in their hands.
