Ukrainian Civil War Thread: All Quiet on the Sturgeon Front

The Ukrainian Civil War, prior to the quasi-ceasefire agreement was a for serious war.  There were big combined arms maneuvers; tanks supported by infantry and artillery, the works.  Everything but manned air power and WMDs.

One observer had a story about two Ukrainian mechanized brigades being wiped out in a few minutes by an MRLS barrage.  The combat escalated from people waving flags and fat guys riding in pickups with knives to actual war in a hurry.

Note that rebels losses structure shows that "tanks / others AFVs" casualties ratio is much higher, showing that they used IFVs and APCs in direct combat with units, well-equipped with AT weapons, much less frequently than UAV/VSU.

So after the Bellingcat report on MH17, Russian government officials got mad on a few occasions and made attempts to call them out, eventually contacting Bellingcat directly. When asked for evidence of fakery, the Russian MFA came out with this (direct links to pdf downloads):

It turns out they may have plagiarized some blog posts. Bellingcat's proof:

And a rebuttal against the MFA letter:
