OK, first tank is a T-55. It says in the poster thingy above/infront it.

Does the Ramses II actually exist?

Which one? The emperor/king or the tank?

Tank exists, but pictures are really rare. The only pictures I had [and yes, had. the source is gone now I think or something, not sure] were of the tank in America.

Not sure what happened to the source. I just can't find it on the net anymore.

Wikipedia claims that 425 of the Ramses II have been produced.  I do not think this is correct.  Wikipedia claims the tank went into production in 2004-2005.  That's pretty weird because I know for a fact that no 900HP versions of the AVDS-1790 engine were being produced at the engine plant in Muskegon MI during that time period.  That plant is the only source of new AVDS-1790 engines, so if Egypt was making Ramses II tanks with 900HP engines, they were using second hand engines.  Or somehow upgrading 750 HP engines, which I rather doubt.  I have never seen a single picture of a Ramses II other than those of the test vehicles created by Teledyne Continental Motors.

I had posted some black and white pictures of the Ramses II prototype a long time ago on my old blog.

There is a funny story behind the Ramses II prototype that I remember my dad talking about when I was kid (Dad worked for Teledyne back then.)  The Egyptians shipped a T55 to the US so that the Teledyne guys could start modifying it into the Ramses II.  They guy that was supposed to transport the tank left it sitting out on a flat bed trailer.  This attracted the attention of the Baltimore police.  The story of the abandoned tank found by police made national news and everyone involved was rather embarrassed.
