Citroën-Kégresse P28 in service with 7th Cuirassier Regiment of the French Army, 1938.

Citroën-Kégresse P28 was developed by Citroën in 1931 as part of the competition for the reconnaissance AFV. Despite the fact that Citroën almost lost to competitors from Renault and Hotchkiss, in 1932 the French military decided that the P28 is still suitable for cavalry units and bought a batch of 50 units. The armored troops showed low combat efficiency, which in combination with the low reliability of machines led to a massive return rate of armored vehicles to the manufacturer. Thus, by the beginning of the Second World War, literally several P28s remained in the French army.

A char 2C.

Take a look at the commander's cupola.  What is this strange, smokestack looking thing?  How is the commander supposed to see out of that?

Turns out that the char 2C has a very unusual cupola design:

The cupola consisted of an inner glass dome, and an outer armored steel screen with very narrow perforations cut into it.  The outer layer would be spun by a motor, and from the commander's point of view the thin slits would sort of blur together, and they would be able to see (reasonably) clearly through it.

More information on stroboscopic cupolas can be found here.
