Sturgeon's House

The interesting ship photos/art thread.

This boat has been popping up on my social media feed.

The erroneous meme at the moment is that it was caught trying to smuggle drugs from British Columbia into Washington. Although Snopes maintains it was the product of some drug runners in Spain who were arrested in 2004. Either or, damn that is a lot of outboards.

Also, I'm not absolutely convinced that stacking those kickers side-by-side-by-side is the most efficient propulsion system.

The "anti-submarine-anti-torpedo-plane "attack" boats" are a nice touch

Hmmm, how would we ever defend a boat carrying a whole load of scary planes.

Surely surrounding it with a screen of scary military boats wouldn't work, we need assault boats. Yeah, that's what we need.

Assault boats and battleship cannons.

Much Kill

I said much kill.  I decided to find out roughly how much kill.

4 subs.

20 missiles each.

Each missiles has potentially 10 warheads of 200kt yield.

4x20x10 = 800 x 200kt of nuclear destruction or roughly 160 megatons of kill.

+assorted 533mm torpedoes and missile launched nuclear depth charges.
