Priory_of_Sion
New info is out on the LRS-B project, America's next top bomber. It seems that the project is much further along than usually assumed with two different designs having various subcomponents tested. It is stressed that the project hasn't gotten out of hand and is very "mature"(see F-35). The LRS-B will be more stealthy than the B-2 and being slightly smaller with perhaps 20% less payload and range than the B-2. It will have both manned and unmanned capabilities and will be able to use nuclear weapons if needed. Link Belesarius
Belesarius
Intersting stuff. I'm curious as to what it will look like. I lean towards another flying wing type design, maybe a bigger UCLASS type design.
LostCosmonaut
Given the size comparison, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a design somewhat resembling Lockheed's Senior Peg.
