Tiger Forces advance towards Deir Ezzor from two axes

The Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) – continued their large-scale offensive in the Palmyra (Tadmur) countryside on Wednesday, targeting the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) positions along three different flanks.

The Syrian Armed Forces began their assault on Wednesday by striking ISIS’ defenses at the Mustadura Gas Fields in northeast Palmyra, resulting in the liberation of 3 more hilltops en rout to the village of ‘Arak.

Following the advance in northeast Palmyra, the Syrian Armed Forces launched two more attacks that targeted ISIS’ positions at the western flanks of ‘Arak village and T-3 Military Base.

The Tiger Forces offensive in east Homs is heavily concentrated on the two axes in Palmyra’s eastern countryside; this area has two primary roads that lead to the Deir Ezzor Governorate. The main roadways in eastern Palmyra are the Palmyra-Deir Ezzor Highway and the seasonal Palmyra Road that eventually becomes part of the Damascus-Baghdad International Highway.

In the coming weeks, the Tiger Forces should make a major push along both of these roadways in the eastern Homs countryside.

Syrian Army foils major ISIS offensive in northern Sweida: 36 terrorists killed

Tal-Dhalfa.jpg

Last night, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched a massive offensive in the northern countryside of Al-Sweida, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) defensive positions at Tal Dhalfa and Abu Haraat with over 300 well-armed fighters.

The terrorist group decided to conduct this major assault during the twilight hours on Wednesday in order to catch the Syrian Armed Forces off guard. This decision by ISIS’ command would not change the outcome of the battle as their fighters were overpowered by the Syrian Arab Army’s mounted machine guns.

According to a military source from the 5th Armored Division’s headquarters in Izra’a, ISIS lost a total of 36 fighters on Wednesday night at the villages of Abu Haraat and Tal Dhalfa; this number would include several Jordanian nationals. ISIS’ losses were enough to make them retreat to Sweida’s northeastern countryside after failing to advance – they would be attacked by the Syrian Air Force just minutes after retreating.

Tal Dhalfa is an important hilltop village that is situated directly east of the Khalkhalah Airbase; if lost, the terrorist group will be within a few hundred meters of the aforementioned military installation.

Rebels clash in rural Damascus as the Syrian Army cordons off Nusra supply road

The largest rebel group in the East Ghouta “Jaysh Al-Islam” came under attack this morning; however, it was not from the government forces, but rather, their allies from Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jaysh Al-Fustat.

According to Jaysh Al-Islam’s media wing, Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jaysh Al-Fustat targeted their headquarters in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus, but did not provide the exact location.

Meanwhile, in the Marj Al-Sultan area of the East Ghouta, the Syrian Armed Forces have cordoned off Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) primary supply road to the villages of Zibdeen and Deir Al-‘Assafir.

If the extremist forces do not retake Bala Al-Kadhima in the coming days, they will be completely cutoff and besieged in this area.

Abu Hajaar, please.

Also, SLAT armour works really well yo.

Also interesting:

I saw someone else point out that they're not even using a 'honorary' variant of death but more like a ''degenerate' variant. (But I forgot where I found the comment)

There's an honorary version of death in Arabic?

My Arabic is not very good, but I only remember "died" (مات), "killed" (قتل), became a martyr (استشهد). There's also other stuff like: god took him (توافاه الله), etc. Last one is more of an Egyptian thing btw.

(note: in Islam, martyrs are not counted as dead)
