   It is claimed that Hezbollah/Al-Mukowama is pulling out their troops from Aleppo province because they don't want to lose people in Russian-American [dis]agreements/diplomatic games.

   They are going back to pre-Russian operation strategy to cover Lebanon from takfiris in Syria, with some presence near Israel border and Damascus. 

 

   Overall, this is a bad sign, for Syria and for us (Russia). Looks like our politicans forgot lessens of USSR and early 90s.

What's with all of these rebel gains lately?  Is the SAA that useless without full-throttle Russian air support, or are shipments of weapons and men from Turkey intensifying?

A little of 1st and a lot of 2nd. Militants now have 20 000 group in Aleppo province vs ~10 000 SAA/NDF.

Thanks.  There is not much serious coverage of the war in the US.  For a while there, it looked like things might wrap up quickly, and media outlets in the US were losing interest.  But it sounds like it's actually escalating!

 

Which is nuts.  The estimates I'd seen had the GDP of Syria put back by 15 years.  Entire cities are abandoned and have been for years.  Why escalate now?  There's barely anything worth fighting for left!
