   The spokesman noted that "the Syrian army does not have stockpiles of chemical weapons."
   "The fact of destruction of all chemical weapons stockpiles from the Syrian Armed Forces was fixed and confirmed by the OPCW, a specialized UN unit," he recalled. Earlier it was reported that the US attack on the base in Homs was a response to the allegedly previously committed chemical attack in Idlib, in which the US accused Damascus.
   "At the same time, in Putin's opinion, the complete disregard for the use of chemical weapons by terrorists only significantly aggravates the situation," the spokesman said.

   Putin noted that the US attack on the airbase in Syria damages the relations between Russia and the US, Peskov said.
   "This move by Washington is causing substantial damage to Russian-American relations, which are already in a deplorable condition," the spokesman said.
   "Putin also sees in the attacks on Syria from the US an attempt to divert the attention of the world community from the numerous casualties among civilians in Iraq," he added.

So apparently OPCW implies it was it was the rebels who used gas (though there were 2 reported incidents lately). But their wording also leaves room for the option that Assad may have acquired chemical weapons outside the previous stockpiles.

Shayrat AB has nothing to do with CW programe.

Sharyat AB is know to host many of #Syria AF Su-22 and was hosting multiple #RuAF hellos.

AB was used mostly against fight against ISIS in Palmyra and Aleppo province.

There wasn't any indications before that this particular AB was a site of any CW facilities or part of the program itself.
