In Deir EzZor province 4 Russian servicemens were killed during ISIS raid and 1-hour long firefight, according to MoD. 2 were killed during fight itself, 2 more died from injures. 3 other members of Russian forces were wounded, survived battle. SAA lost 18 soldiers, although they reported about casualites on 23.05 (ISIS leftovers raid happened that day). MoD claims that it was an artillery position, but i suspect it was one of watch post in Syrian Badia.

I also would not be surprised if those guys were somebody like him:

In the special task brigade of the Central Military District, the biography of the sniper of the guard senior ensign grew with legends. He is one of the veterans of the unit, who served in parts of special forces for over two decades. Has the greatest number of official trips to the combat areas among the colleagues.

/.../

For the highest professionalism, fortitude, for courageous and decisive actions accomplished in the performance of military duty in conditions involving a risk to life, he was awarded the second Order of Courage.

Palmyra:

- "It was a night battle at the elevator in the Tadmor region," says my interlocutor.
- The attack of terrorists there was hard, with the use of armored vehicles. And now our "Grandfather" ("Ded"), using a thermal imaging attachment to his sniper scope, with well-aimed shots, disabled the crew of the ISIS tank, which was moving to the elevator. And he had to shoot in pitch darkness against a mobile object at a distance of more than 350 meters.
The Syrian military opened fire on the tank from the RPG-7. But without result. And Grandfather with just two shots from his sniper rifle first hit the commander of the tank, who inconsiderately leaned out of the turret hatch, peering into the darkness of the night, and then the driver, also very carelessly peeked his head out of his hatch.

After this the guards senior ensign, along with two more snipers, methodically cleared the approaches to the elevator from the remnants of the enemy infantry, which found itself to be without the tank support. In fact, three Russian shooters with their well-organized fire, almost silent due to suppressors, stopped the attack of four dozens of terrorists, well-trained and tuned to a desperate battle. Soldiers defended several of our military advisers - artillerymen, tankmen, air spotter, who found themselfs at the tip of the night battle ...

In July 2016, the "anti-tank" sniper was presented to the Order of Courage.

The second time "Grandfather"/Ded distinguished himself in 2017 during a combat trip to the Akerbat "cauldron". Snipers had to again cover with their fire Russian military advisers who helped coordinate the fighting of the Syrian militia and were at the forefront. By the way, the militia were armed with our "historic" Mosin rifles of the 1891 model. The balance of power was clearly not in their favor. The battle on August 3 under Akerbat turned out to be very difficult. Our sniper had to fire at the unusual distance for himself - more than a kilometer. After ISIS managed to brake to nearby position through the underground passages into the militia seized point, fighting became almost a point-blank combat. Here, Ded used the Kalashnikov assault rifle, which was part of his standard armament set.

On May 26, the Russian military police arrested several marauders who robbed civilian houses in the Babylla district south of the city of Damascus and returned electronics and personal items that were stolen to their owner.

According to reports, thieves were dressed in the uniform of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). However, the source said that the SAA soldiers could not enter Babyll. This means that these thieves were probably members of some pro-government militia.

NDF, most likely.

Claimed to be Su-34 over Lebanon

Although reports were about 2 Israeli jets flying over Lebanon (12:20 to 13:45), 27.05.

There were reports on both sides that:

1)SU-34 chased off the F-16.

2)F-16 chased off the SU-34.

What we know is it's one Syrian source making a claim that many sides took to wrong places.

SU-34 have very limited aerial combat capabilities, so they wouldn't ever go on such an engagement - It's borderline suicidal.

The F-16 were on a recon mission, so it's unlikely they came in with any intent to conduct an attack, let alone initiate an aerial engagement for which they were probably also not well equipped.

My take on this is that the SU-34 just slightly veered off course, which is an innocent mistake and was massively overblown by spectators.
