@Collimatrix

You can see more tunnels, like in Eastern Ghouta, but ISIS went further (closer to the end of the video). Yarmouk camp buildings are located very close to each other, ISIS constructed small bridges between upper floors of buildings, and tried to avoid first floors. They even blocked stairs from first floor to second in several buldings (can't say how many, reported didn't told that) with metal bars and made killholes in floors and ceilings.

Seems Israel and Russia came to an agreement, and Hezbollah and Iranian troops will withdraw from southern Syria. Under the agreement Israel agreed that Syria will reestablish control over the north-eastern golan area, meaning it will occupy the entire rebel enclave in there, between the Israeli Golan and the current Syrian positions. Fundamentally, Israel has never actually opposed to this, but it could still mean that Israel may be less responsive, or at least will respond more lightly, if stray fire reaches Israel.

So basically the latest airstrikes were effective and deterrence was achieved, and Russia is probably annoyed at Iran causing conflict with Israel when it needs Syria to get as much stability as possible.

Nobody ever said Israeli strikes weren't effective.....Legal on the other hand.  :unsure:

TBH if détente can be achieved, Syria is allowed to clear its border and maybe the two parties could even start talking to each other, it wouldn't be such a bad result after all (for a criminal act);)

It's a bit clearer now.

Iranian troops will withdraw to 20km away from the border with Israel in phase 1, then will withdraw gradually to 80km.

Israel will ignore stray fire from Syria, and when it strikes Iranian targets, it will refrain from also targeting Syrian ones (which also means the SAA will probably no longer fire on IAF aircraft).

It's also worth noting that recently the IDF publicly stated that it changed its policy and will now target Iranian troops all over Syria and not only the south. That was before the signing of the agreement with Russia, and it could mean Russia doesn't object to that, so long as it doesn't involve SAA troops.

My cousin Rayan and his regiment are finally going home after 8 years of service. They were drafted into the army in 2010 and supposed to serve a few years; however, due to the war, they were not discharged until now.
