Syrian conflict.

Current situation in Syria, in short.

Quote

In Syria, the situation may fall into an even greater crisis in the coming months. After the elections, they will no longer keep the course of the Syrian lira. Then it will cost less than the paper it is printed on. The main oil and gas fields and the zone of grain and cotton farming in the Euphrates valley have gone from the control of Damascus. As expected, the country experienced a permanent fuel crisis.

And so is the food crisis. Also protracted. Seed material in Syria is imported, in Russia there are no such varieties, and there is no money to buy it bypassing the sanctions either.

The broad masses also lack that desperate love the had. We didn’t work with the masses, we gave everything to dear Bashar Hafezovich. And the population realized for themselves that the Russians fought for Assad in order to get the Syrian oil deposits. Well, we kind of got it. Who knows that the deposits do not even pay off even PMCs, not to mention the colossus of the Aerospace Forces and other official military expenditures.

To be honest, most Syrians are sure that we came there for oil fields. No matter how much you explain to them that it is economically inexpedient, their opinion will not change. Nobody explains to the Syrians the true motives of Russia. Only after dancing with tambourines, they understand that the destruction of 5,000 terrorists who come from Russia is the main goal of Russia in Syria.

SAA units are moving to Syrian Badia, as ISIS leftovers are active (ambush attack on convoy).

Qamishli, Russian MPs/SFs in area. Representatives were sent there to stop yet another conflict between kurdish armed groups and SAA.
