First world series win for the franchise in 30 years, Royals 4-1 Mets.

A small market team like the Kansas City Royals going to back-to-back World Series and winning this one is about the best possible thing for Major League Baseball and fans. Admittedly, I had little rooting interest in this match-up I won't pretend to like the Royals other than having a Bret Saberhagen Topps rookie card once upon a time. Also, kudos to the Blue Jays for showing up the fucking New York Yankees and the fucking Boston Red Sox in the American League East.

 

Maybe my home team will get its shit together now that they have yet another new GM and field manager.

This year was supposed to be it by us, but at least we got beaten out by a team that worked as hard and played some freaking awesome baseball. I'm still pissed at KC for beating my Jays tho...
