This delusion that you Americans have that we British have been 'disarmed' is very, very funny to me (it's borderline f*****g hilarious TBH), while I don't personally own any firearms at present (family circumstances do not allow) almost all of my close friends do.  I do however know a lot of local landowners very well and I own & train hunting dogs (Lurchers), so if I wanted a firearm I could have one , despite having been a 'naughty boy' in my youth.

PS - I'll ask a mate if I can post some of his collection.....I suspect you will be quite surprised (and possibly even impressed) at 'George', his sniper hunting rifle.

Conspiratorial or not (TBH I'd tend to agree with your assessment BTW), surely the short-term loss of two Aegis ships represents a significant reduction in capability, in an area of the world where that capability is currently at a premium.....I think my 'Spidey-Senses' are tingling on general principles TBH.

Apologies for the slight veer off topic, but is there a thread like this for the fighting in Iraq (particularly Mosul) anywhere?  I did check, but didn't find one.  I'm particularly interested in the fighting in East Mosul between November & December 2016 featuring the CTS and elements of 9th Armoured Division (I'm building a Mosul campaign for Combat Missions: Shock Force).

I've started to broaden my horizons, having been a Braille only type in the past (my eyesight's deteriorating as I get older).....I've built one 1/35 kit and am looking at having a bash at the epic Hobbyboss 1/48 T-34/85, possibly in an Afghan setting with the Airfix Coyote.

It's about time to start arming 'Moderate Saudi Rebels' IMHO.
