Priory_of_Sion
SeaWorld has been recently trying to correct its image after being subject to criticism though media, especially movies like Blackfish and The Cove. These movies condemn the practice of SeaWorld capturing dolphins for what is little more than circus performances and captivity which leads to health and psychological problems to the animals. The events where killer whales have killed trainers also doesn't help SeaWorld's image either. Now, some are calling SeaWorld's response that it is humane to the animals and that it bases its practices off of actual science. It seems hard to grasp at the morality of keeping highly intelligent animals who have what seems to be inklings of culture and that have natural ranges that span entire seas in a confined pool with limited social interaction. Is it time that SeaWorld dies?
Donward
Lacking another place to put this and not to downplay the Seaworld OP, but here is a video of a "transient" Orca punting a harbor seal 80 feet into the air. As much as I like Killer Whales, they are aptly named and are singularly bloody minded. Donward
Since this seems to be the best place for any Orca related news, here is a video of a pod of Killer Whales who went without dinner tonight. LoooSeR
