https://thesovietarmourblog.blogspot.ru/2016/02/t-80-gambol.html Crap, this guy also has an amazing write up on the T-80 too! -
http://thesovietarmourblog.blogspot.ru/2015/05/t-72-soviet-progeny.html Only just found this and seems to be a very good write up so far. Edit: nah fuck dat this is a fantastic resource. Shit, it would probably be a good introduction to newbies about cold war tanks as it goes into great detail about all kind of things like APDS vs APFSDS, NERA mechanics and etc. It's amazingly comprehensive, feels better than Zaloga's books honestly.

So I went back to the museum today with Romiros, if you know him from wargame, playing guide. -

T-80 Megathread: Astronomical speed and price!
Vasily Krysov replied to Vasily Krysov's topic in Mechanized Warfare
So the first thing I did in Piter was visit the Военно-исторический музей артиллерии, инженерных войск и войск связи. I was in heaven I tell you! I made friends with one of the old blokes working in the cloak room. Had a halting conversation about my interest in the museum's subject. -
AC IV "Thunderbolt", a premium UK tree tank.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/f1y5z33c5ezb61r/2016.01.08%2011.44.13%20Thunderstruck.wrpl?dl=0 My enemies were... thunderstruck At one point I totally ran out of AP shells and a bomber had to save me against an enemy T-34/85. I was finally brought down by an Ostwind after 11 kills. Unfortunately despite my best efforts our teams were even on tickets so we lost in a draw. I still won though! Edit: the AC IV Thunderbolt was the best tank that never was m8s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinel_tank

I'm putting this into all of my Soviet tank line ups. You can even knock out a Maus with this thing and I want to see what it would do to a bunched up group on a cap point!
-
Looking forward to the new DOOM tbh. I've recently had an itch for a good SP arena shooter that isn't fucking cover based.

The Enema Thread (Moderator: Tied)
Vasily Krysov replied to Sturgeon's topic in Fiction & Entertainment
There is only one truly good enema, and it's "The legend of the galactic heroes". -
Uh, the default round of the T-10M will happily go through the turret front of the Maus? So does the HEAT round.
-
It is done, I have unlocked all of the soviet tanks. Where's my T-62 gaijin!!?!?!
-
Wrong question, it should be "Do I want to be constantly worrying about inauthentically accurate artillery all match?" and the answer is "no." I like the fact that the rocket tanks, while present, are also quite rare. Otherwise if they were not, half of the USA teams would be Calliopes and that would get super annoying for both sides really fast. The paywall allows for the developer to monetize a portion of the game content that is also not a major part of the game. It isn't like they are putting all heavy tanks behind a paywall, for example. This means the rocket tanks are a useful thing for the developer (money!) but also doesn't annoy the regulars.
-
Yes it is, It meana that not every useless shitler will be deadweight on thier team in a limited use vehicle. Why did gaijin add such a crappy type of vehicle? Well after the Calliope (which is cool and good) idiots clamored for their own nation to get rocket vehicles. And as Tied says, if they didn't test drive before buying, lmao.
-
MLRS that often can't aim for shit and can't reload. And yes bombers can be shot down, especially if you have an AAMG. Edit: Oh and the MLRS are behind a significant paywall, which prevents their proliferation.

You know what game doesn't have players in SPGs? That's right! Hitler War Thunder.
