Good question. Probably because heavens forbid the Army and the Marine Corps share a weapons platform.
I still have a few friends still on active duty (I would have retired in 2008, but I got out after 15) that got to take part in the early FOA back in 2012/13. From the anecdotes I hear, this thing should have been given to line platoons along time ago. -
Guess I misunderstood the comment.

Special Forces, yes, but not the regular Army.
Regular light infantry units are using it now. It was FOA in 2012 and given to 3rd, 10th, and 25th in Afghanistan.

I've never had anything but bad experiences with goths. I had to sleep on the streets for a night when I was in Leipzig because there was a goth music festival and literally every room everywhere was booked
Wave Gotik Treffen. I went to that a long time ago. Gets more and more crowded every year. Same with M'era Luna in Hildesheim.

That howitzer configuration looks like a pain the ass to reload.

Jordan has introduced a new heavy APC based on the Centurion. Since the back of the vehicle is taken up by the powerpack, the infantry enter and exit the vehicle through the front. This seems like a bad idea to me...
That is a terrible idea.

Yeah, I've been playing the hell out of it. An interesting mix of 4X and grand strategy, with probably my favorite tech system I've seen in a strategy game. Instead of the usual tech tree, techs are more like cards in a deck, weighted based on their rarity, so every game is different and every faction unlocks different things. And being a Paradox game, it's extremely moddable, so I expect complete overhaul mods for Warhammer 40K, Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, etc. to come out within a few months. Highly recommended.
I bought it Thursday night and my wife came into my office at 7am the next morning asking if I planned on sleeping anytime this weekend.

Steampunk hate aside, that was pretty cool.

I jumped the C-5 before they put the air deflection device in front of the door. We got up close and personal with the side of the aircraft. C-17 was an improvement.

I'm always a few years behind the "bleeding edge" but I never have any trouble running new games that way. I upgrade the first time a game takes a shit on the highest settings.
