Convair MX-1964 Proposed Supersonic Bomber (B-58 Initial Studies)

X-Plane is the best program I can think of off the top of my head to render/test aircraft, but: Acquiring it legally costs money There is a learning curve to using it. I haven't used in a while, and from what I remember it was fairly complex (it's been a few years since I used it). As with the tank design, I think if we did a plane contest 1930s-1940s would be best. Having to design radar systems, electronics, supersonic aerodynamics, and all that would rapidly get too complex. Like the last contest, but worse.

Big if true. Would ask for an additional source besides Fox, but getting religious info out of Iran is hard so ?

The Economics of Nuclear Power
LostCosmonaut replied to LostCosmonaut's topic in Dr. Strangelove's Nuclear Palace
Vogtle 3 is getting closer to actually going online; https://www.world-nuclear-news.org/Articles/Georgia-Power-orders-fuel-for-Vogtle-3 With this and Nu-Scale working on getting an SMR test plant going on INL, things are actually looking not too terrible for civilian nuclear power. -

I thought Boeing was persona non grata to Canada because of the whole Bombardier issue? Guess they chucked enough money at Trudeau and friends to get back in.

Would be nice to at least stick them in a museum somewhere instead of turning them into razor blades. (Would be cool if an American museum got their hands on them but that won’t happen)- 5,212 replies

Let's Talk About Spent Fuel Disposal!
LostCosmonaut replied to LostCosmonaut's topic in Dr. Strangelove's Nuclear Palace
Found a powerpoint about the M-290, which is the new canister used to handle US Navy spent nuclear fuel; https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML0932/ML093200020.pdf Surprised how much is declassified, but it's on the NRC site so it must be legit. They even have a picture of the overpack building! (slide 18)- 13 replies
