LoooSeR Posted December 10, 2021 Report Share Posted December 10, 2021 Lighthouse map (lighthouse is blocked for now as it is supposed to be used for on-map dealer), few new guns, RGN impact-fused hand grenade, standalone laser rangefinder, at one point looks like overheating was shown (with dark red-ish suppressor visible). BSG had to change engine from previous version of Unity to Unity 2018 (or 19? don't remember), which slowed down a stream of new content and game mechanics. 12.12 should also bring VOIP, inertia changes, additional changes in gun mulfunction mechanics and few smaller ones. LoooSeR Posted December 23, 2021 Report Share Posted December 23, 2021 Looks like BSG used newly introduced overheating mechanics to rebalance fights between players, decreasing fullauto big capacity mag dumbs tactics somewhat, more notably use of 60 round mags in meta guns. Most of the areas in those maps are pretty realistic to what you can see in St.Petersburg or around it. Ultra shopping mall is based on Mega shopping mall, Shoreline resort buildings is directly taken from a building in Strel'na (town not far from St.Petersburg). Those maps are pretty immersive for me. Factory Spoiler Customs Garages, Dorms, gas station, bridge over a river, industrial structures and a bit of forests. Spoiler Interchange Most of the map is taken by giant shopping mall. Underground big parking area, "Oli" (IRL Obi) and "Idea" (lel) shops occupy "wings" and middle section is taken by 2 stories of small shops. Rear section is taken by Goshan (IRL Ashan, IIRC French retailer) Spoiler Reserve Military base. Hangars for vehicles, warehouses, barraks, a fuckton of underground facilities like more garages, tunnels, underground HQ and so on, radar. Underground complex connects several buildings on top and for new players is very hard to navigate, even with map. Spoiler Forest Sawmil, plane crush, lots of forest, military camp, 2 villages and few more buildings. Spoiler Shoreline Very big resort, village, meteorogical station, hills and a bit of forest, military checkpoints, power station, construction, few other buildings. Gazel truck cargo cabin vs APS Fired it nearly 90 degrees vs cargo cabin wall. Spoiler All penetrated. According to videos i saw of people shooting cars with pistol rounds, this is should have been expected. Pretty cool to know that in this game cars can't protect you from even shittiest pistol rounds. But note how entry holes don't match exactly with locations of exit holes - rounds deviated from their original trajectories. SKS vs ambulance Decided to fire at an angle, to see if there will be differences with 7.62x39 PS perfomance. 2 shots. Spoiler 1 shot probably hit something inside, IIRC those vehicles have some equipment in their back. After penetrating ambulance, round kept going and hit another cargo truck. And 7.62x39 penetrated 2 cars in the end. Nice. Interesting thing happened here - 2 shots, 2 exit holes Spoiler ...but 3 hits on a concrete pillar. I remember in one of old Dev diaries DSG dev said that they have bullet fragmentation mechanic in EFT, i guess this is what it is. @Sturgeondoes that perfomance look plausable to you? Yeah regular car sheet metal is toast against any centerfire caliber with a full metal jacket. Sometimes you get stoppages with really slow soft lead bullets, like you see with .32 S&W, but in TYOOL 2022 those are rare as hen's teeth.
