LOL. You are such a trolltastic asshole, and I love you for it. The tags for that article are a thing of subtle beauty rarely seen on teh interwebs.

Alas, not even Chuck Yeager could save tigershark from the specter of unrestricted F-16A sales.
It would have been interesting to see how the F-20 would have stacked up to the gripen; they're very comparable.
I really wanted Canada to buy some as backups to the F-18s we bought. Would have been a good fit, we flew the F-5 for quite a while.

I have an unreasonable love for the F-20. I wish it had gotten more love.

And now, to look at upgunning anythinng with a 5' 54 cal gun. Now this looks promising.

Interesting concept for a attack tilt-rotor.
I'm surprised that they haven't made a dedicated gunship variant of the V-22 yet.

Nice. I remeber when Dragon first came to market here. One of the first kits I saw was a 1/35 scale Dragon SCUD launcher. It had about 1500 parts or so. IIRC, about 8 or 12 sprues.

Also, last I heard the GPS doesn't work well at higher latitudes, and they weren't anticipating it being ready to go live anytime soon. But that was a while ago, so they may have ironed out the kinks. I'm leery when the primary navigation system is sketchy and it's going to be our primary interceptor with Canadian distances between airbases involved.

I would think part of the attractiveness of gun armed TDs is that they could be used for fire support as a secondary role.
Guided missiles as fire support... Kinda pricy ammo when a 107 recoiless or direct fire 120mm mortar shell will do the job.

This thread is for discussion of modern (including Cold War) tank destroyer and gun carrier concepts. Most of these feature a good sized gun on a relatively light chassis with good mobility (as a result, they are sometimes known as light tanks). Some are built on converted IFV chassis. Examples include;
What is the 2nd one? Very smart looking light tank/TD.

Starship with 120mm Rifled gun sounds lulzy.

I don't care what y'all do, but I don't want the RCAF to be bothered with them. Rather have something with two engines and longer legs for sheer practical reasons. I'd lean towards the newest SuperHornet model myself for what we'll be using them for.

Should be Duct tape or 100 kt tape, rather than crappy packing tape.

I learned about the Griffin missile today. I have kinda fallen behind on recent military tech and I find it hightly interesting. Also the UK's Brimstone missile is pretty neat.

I dunno, but that was an interesting video.

I think this thread needs more rockets.

... Why of all possible tanks, why?
Because it's the odd duckling and was bullied. So we sympathize.

Appropriate positive attitude noted. You will be rewarded Comrade.

In value for money alice's Restaraunt is the hands down winner on the Jukebox at my local bar that I play pool at after work most afternoon shifts. If we get assholes in playing hiphop, I'll do Alice's Restaraunt, Paradise by the Dashboard light by Meatloaf and Stairway to Heaven for the lolz and trolling.

I love that ugly bugger. I was obsessed with drawing it as a kid.
Edit: whoa, missed that. Never heard about the 152 nuclear shell before.

Dave, (the owner) has the odd distinction of getting kicked in the nuts by a 10 year old Belesarius for threatening to throw me over Niagra Falls.

The Fish looks very interesting. Offset cockpit, and Mach 4.2!
