I normally don't get too many chuckles out of Cyanide & Happiness, but for some reason the pay-off on this one just slayed me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0WbP2uLJPo

I'm so sold on the idea of a big-ass plane able to travel the world handing out missiles and bombs to everyone like a big, black, evil Santa Claus.

This is the firearms version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5iJZjw8k40 Note that this dude has also made home-made primers. So if he can figure out a way to make cardboard and brass he's set.

This is all extra-hilarious for me because rainbow nation folk are required by law to concealed carry only. Hence I can't help but wonder how these guys will manage to stuff these monstrosities down their pants.

So... much... 80s... On a more serious note: what is the catch? Why did aerospike never take off?

This book was a pretty good read for me.

Food and Putting it in Our Faces

My version: to the above; add a bit of tomato paste, olive oil, basil and a tiny splash of vinegar. Cook until the tomato chunks come apart and there has been a bit of caramelization at the bottom of the pan. Stir with a spoon to mix in the bottom stuff and mash the tomato bits. The sauce should be thick enough to spread using the bottom of a spoon. Edit: herbs should be fresh and roughly chopped for best effect. Edit 2: the above sauce is exceedingly good on fresh dough of varying thicknesses, with cheese and toppings of course. Just remember to make a zone of un-cheesed sauce near the crust to get that wonderful burnt tomato flavour. For toppings I'm pretty lazy: feta, mushrooms, salami and onions feature heavily. -

No favourite style of topping, but homemade dough and sauce is awesome. -
True in one particular case, not so true in number of others...

And proof that this thread needs to exist. There seem to be morons lining the blocks in every one of those articles, just itching to explain how the gun is actually perfect.

PoMo ruins everything: architecture edition

Got it in one. It also has a really strange bare concrete section (which you can see in the photo) which makes the building look like it was plonked on top of a fortress. Also, it's blocking the view from our office.
