  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhJQVVAN2Ho The west is at fault. This is a direct result of the degenerate influences of the west tampering with the DDR's wholesome socialist efforts at rehabilitating a culture from National Socialism.
  2. One thing that always bothered me about Bush, is that people ever criticize his presidency for things like his Bushisms instead of the things he actually did as president, as if saying 'nukular' had any actual bearing on his doings as head of state.
  3. I want to point out that the name of the guy who didn't name himself after someone who was complicit in war crimes was going for 'Mr Painwagon[or vehicle or car or whatever]" in English, but capitalization indicates that 'pain' and 'wagon' are two separate entities in his name. Something like "Mr Pain, Wagon".
  4. You can control the aft and stern rigs manually and independently in square rigged ships in order to tack more efficiently, individual gun decks can be toggled to fire or not during broadsides, ranging shots are a mechanic, shots under the waterline will cause water to pour in if you're listing to that side, and WoT style penetration mechanics. Most unrealistic thing currently is the physics for ramming, and following that, that your crew cannot be told to fire when the guns bear, but it's really the most realistic age of sail game that could be hoped for I think.
  5. It's not quite months to get a frigate, but you spend more time in a cutter than you would like. I'd guesstimate it might be 15 minutes per battle, 70 xp per battle, 1000 xp to reach junior lt, another 1000 xp to reach second lt, 1500 to reach first lt, and then you can finally fully crew a frigate. I got a frigate by my second day I think, but I put in a looot of time into it those two days.
  6. That's pretty hype, I'm gonna go visit my local overseas recruiting office now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEv_aEwVvak
  7. The price is definitely high, but there's not that many alternatives if you want to get your sail on. I was reading the Hornblower series when I saw it, and no force in heaven or hell could save my wallet at that point. If anyone does want to add me, my in-game is Fenrir, sailing for US because I'm mainstream, unoriginal, and boring.
  8. Real talk some anime that isn't terrible and One Punch Man, as looser mentioned. Cat Soup for the weird trip, and One Punch Man for satirizing all of the rest of animu
  9. Now in the Steam store; a romantic comedy about ships of wood, sails of cloth, and men of iron (if you know what I mean). Very beautiful game but the grind is real and it can take an obnoxious amount of time to get from one point to another. Chief selling points are 'age of sail', trading mechanics (which will hopefully become less broken), and very pretty.
  10. Knees weak, moms are sweaty, vomit on his sweater already; palm spaghetti

  11. Almost all the maps have three lanes that lead from green team to red team, and one of them useless. Any arty with a speck of pattern recognition knows where people are going to go, it's not because people out of habit to the same places for some arbitrary reason, it's because people can only reliably influence the battle from those places. Prokhorovka for example, the only places to reliably influence the battle are in the mid next to the tracks, and from the hill. You can be unspotted for as long as you like on the 1-2 line, but your contributions to the team are limited by the fact that you cannot support any other flank and cannot engage what is on your own flank. Steppes is the same way except that it has only one viable lane; only the east is a viable place to be. Sometimes a team might win quickly in the west, push, and take the cap, but nine times out of ten the game the west gets bogged down and spends the match waiting for the east to be decided. If you dive into the bowl in the east, then you've managed to probably avoid arty, but you can't influence the match until you leave the bowl (although you can have fun shooting whatever hulldowned tank is in front of you), and you'll have a hard time getting back out of the bowl to be useful without getting shot. And, of course, the east is composed of light hills and is totally open to arty, because encouraging players to not push or actively work towards winning is exactly what arty does. If the goal is winning, you have to suffer the risk of being one-shot by someone you simply cannot avoid or retaliate against until the match is won. XVM sniping and RNG can be irritating, but the reason that arty is broken is because it punishes you for trying to influence the battle into your favor.
  12. The thing is arty is actually good for stopping camping in organized play, but in pub matches, the thing that stops camping is that camping isn't a viable strategy. So Cent AXs driving through the city on Fisherman's Bay, beware, because the anti-camping protection that spent ten minutes camping that street, firing at literally nothing else the entire game, is going to teach you why you should never have left the base.
  13. I'm a decent player who uses gold constantly to farm stats
  14. Was just thinking to myself how it would be easier to grind out my crew for the Action X if I had a 4202P. Brain's not braining so well this morning.
  15. "Back in my day we had covers, not covers of samples of covers, and we were happy" I plan to have the creakiest rocking chair when I get old
  16. I didn't know this was a cover until my dad happened to hear it. He listened for a moment, got a confused look on his face, and said "this isn't Dolly Parton"
  17. I'm super late but this game is a gem
