I was under the assumption that the museum directors had a moment of clarity and decided to focus on vehicles worth restoring.
IIRC it was one of the last running T-35's.

There is a point where "hot" becomes obnoxious.

If I want hot, I'll eat some Thai food.

wargamming ladies and gentlemen
I would think they have far more historically significant examples to deal with.
Also, last I heard saner heads had prevailed and the project was shelved.
Made sure to check for that. I think they're tinkering with some updates, it happened a few more times today, and never for more than a couple of minutes.
They may be having issues with their ridiculous play count/post system.

Tabasco is god tier on hashbrowns
Try some Tapatio or Valentina.

Arming an artillery observation vehicle with bazookas is rather missing the point.
Kind of..
It became SOP for most FO/FAC birds to mount some form of armament, usually for firing WP/Smoke.
Some would even carry pretty decent fixed armament (by WW2 standards) to provide a modicum of CAS.

those are the stupidest not taticool mosins ive ever seen
then again, 7.62 grows on tree's over here so i guess its an ammo concern for you guys
but they still look dumb
Depending on the area, they may want something with a bit more oomph than 7,62X54R.
.45-70 definitely has that when loaded properly, and the MN action is plenty stout, while being inexpensive enough to make it a viable conversion.
I have a bunch of articles I should scan in from the 1920's on converting the first wave MN surplus rifles to sporting use. They have almost as long as history of sporting use in North America as they do in their homeland.

I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been more incidents where these guys have been blown away. Which tells me they aren't OC'ing rifles everywhere, everyday either and are only doing it at a handful of locations after bragging about it on the Open Carry forum first.
JM and Hernandez both cut to the quick about having proper weapons retention training which none of these guys seem to possess.
I see it quite a bit here, but it's kind of a "meh whatever" thing.
The one that was funny was the older guy who'd ride around on an old ten-speed bike with an '03 Springfield, and bayonet, across his back..
We used to joke that if the inevitable accident did not kill him, then a lightning strike would.

Had a chance to play with a post 86DS '231. It's a fantastic device for converting money into noise, especially when fed from one of those Chinese 120 round drums they sold back in the 90's.

I'd guess the TC has to pick up the slack then. Easier for him to unass the track than it is for the gunner.
-
Well i dont know if its any different in the west, but traditionally drivers usually do alot of lifting for the whole "maintenance, track repair, etc." roles
It's not in the U.S., I know that.
Loader and Driver do most of the grunt. Loader tends to be the dogsbody/gofer.

Yeah, citation needed. Sounds kinda like a pilot claiming kills in air to air.
More like a propagandist believing their own propaganda.
I knew someone who was ex Luftwaffe who said that at best he shot down "around ten" aircraft, then while on leave his family had some clipping claiming he shot down "dozens".
When you have complete control over the media, you can make your own victories, regardless of the facts, and people will believe it.
Just think about the sheer volume of bullshit reports that guy was fed.
Eventually he'd not be able to tell truth from fiction.

Does look like it's missing a bracket.

Aren't the brass shotgun shells trendy for our friends in the Cowboy Action Shooting genre?
Or the folks who insist on murdering doves with great-grandpap's damascus-twist A.H. Fox or Boss shotgun.
Prevents bore wear. Steel rifle ammo used lacquer for the same reason.
Corrosion resistance. The copper wash over a steel jacket is what you're thinking of.
The lacquer coatings were solely for corrosion protection however. The U.S. steel casings in lieu of lacquer used a cadmium or zinc coating for the same reason.
-
Or to make things a bit simpler, would there be any reason the ATF would feasibly disallow a brass based shotshell?
If so, yeah, I like the 3.5" idea.
No, just looking at what would make it marketable in the U.S..
You can still buy all brass/metallic shotshells. I have a bunch of U.S. issue all aluminum shells for the M6 survival carbine, and have seen all brass black powder casings offered for reloaders.
-
Pretty sure the shells are actually 3" length, they're just capable of much higher pressure as the shells for it are made of a particularly tough brass alloy as opposed to plastic. (though it can still fire standard shells)
standard tube fed variant to demonstrate.
Note the reason the charging handle is so large is because it's also designed to fire riot control/less lethal ammuntion aswell, however due to the significantly lower pressure these generate, this requires the weapon to be manually cycled after each shot when doing so.
Right, now imagine a slight redesign to chamber and fire the current U.S. 3.5" magnum shotshells.
The thing would probably sell well to turkey hunters, and deer hunters in areas where rifles are not allowed.

Is there a major market for civilian firearms inside the PRC (would be surprised)? Or would any hypothetical civilian version be strictly for export?
I would guess export, Canada I know is still letting Chinese arms into their market including the semi auto M14 and M16 clones.
If sanity ever returned to the 'states, I'd see a magazine fed shotgun capable of easily handling 3.5" shells easily having a market.

Peaches are for uncultured swine and taste like moldy carpet
That is why one should ferment them whenever possible..

Gotta admit, that is a good looking chunk of steel.
-
So, I've mentioned the QBS-09 before, which is a Chinese 12 gauge shotgun known for using high pressure metallic cases loaded with tungsten alloy shot and tightly choked for improved range and armor penetration, well, supposedly there's a magazine fed variant of it, I'm not quite sure of who, if anyone uses it or even if it exists as it appears, but I find it interesting nonetheless.
Expecting they'll come to the same conclusion as the early scattergun tests of Project SALVO, and apply the resultant technology to sporting arms to recoup costs.

I have secret info that the Yaris could penetrate the Chally if it was using the unobtanium piston forgings....

im also sure that they will serve a very short comfortable prison sentence isntead of the lifetime of forced labor they deserve
Sadly, prison labor is one of those things that's kind of slipped to the wayside in the 'states.
With few exception, much above basic maintenance for the grounds itself is out of the question. With so many of them being privatized or quasi privatized, I'm guessing they don't want to work their guests too hard lest they lose their housing contract.

Crap, Meplat, you're going to get Tony Williams on this board posting stuff like that!
*shrugs*
The things are stupidly well made, yet incredibly simple. If that calls him, so be it..
I should have clarified, simple to manufacture (and mass produce) as well as having a simple design. So, stampings, injection molding, things like that.
Even the design that I am working on isn't terribly simple. It has a fair number of complications (mostly just parts that require special fixturing to machine, or is inefficient to machine because of wasted material) as well as injection molded parts (very high entry cost, so must be done in high volume to be economical), but it should be fairly simple and robust in terms of operation, as well as being user friendly.
You want a H&K UMP then.

What an absurdly obtuse "article" . I hesitate to even call it that.
No reference to the utter soup sandwich of the T-25, no mention of the parallel development of SALVO/SPIW, no mention of the absurd flaws of the M14 design or the issues it had in manufacturing...
