Yup, I already mentioned composites in my Firefly article, so I'll cover them again. Whats the difference between a high and low bustle turret? Is there a matrix of manufacturers and features specific to each one somewhere?

Not the Dominion of Canada, 0/10 would not watch

I am unsure if this is the right thread for it, but I recently found an online version for free of the book Les véhicules blindés français 1900-1944 by Pierre Touzin. So far as I know it is much utilized in citations of French armored vehicles from the era (wikipedia is jammed with it), and is an important book for French armored development. It is naturally, in French. I've uploaded it to Scribd as a private document.
This is weird, I can see it, but when I click download and log in, I see "Sorry! This document is not publicly available." Scribd kinda sucks, I find that Google Drive is much better for sharing PDFs.

Gun mantlet and gun sights for 75mm gun as well as the absence or presence of loaders hatch.
Gun Mantlet is a good point. I can tell the difference between M34 and M34A1, anything else?
Also only the British cut out a loader's hatch in old turret Shermans, right? It would probably help to have the proper numbers/terms for all of these things...

Lindberg models are fucking terrible. The crewmen that come with the SdKfz 222 have their binoculars molded directly into their face so clumsily that they don't actually have any facial features.
But speaking of Shermans, Warspot wants me to do a recognition guide. I'm clear on the major stuff, like the turrets (old school/T23), suspensions (M3 style with the roller on top, the upgraded kind, HVSS), tracks, small/large hatch and associated UFP slopes (the large hatch ones have less sloping, right?), and obviously the major visual differences between the M4/M4A1/M4A2/M4A3/M4A4. Is there anything else I'm missing?

For all that was bad in the prequels, there WERE entertaining elements and even downright awesome ones. Obi Wan's fight with Jango Fett in the rain. The Darth Maul fight with Obi Wan and Qai Gon. The Obi Wan scene where...
OK, Ewan Mcgregor playing Obi Wan was pretty much the only good part of the prequels. But still. (Ian McDiarmid was a good Palpatine as well)
So Last Jedi is the absolute worst - to date - of the franchise. It's the emotional equivalent of finding out your childhood home has been taken over by drug addict hoarders, and sorting through the piss-soaked and syringe-covered mess. I liked Rogue One and it is an "Okay" film that obviously had some bad editing decisions, and a couple questionable dialogue choices. I have not re-watched Force Awakens yet, and in wake of the Last Jedi debacle, I know my view on it is now clouded.
Also, I'm one of those weird guys that likes the first Star Wars film over Empire Strikes Back (even though I'll admit that ESB is a technically better movie).
1) New Hope
2) Empire Strikes Back
3) Return of the Jedi
4) Rogue One
5) Force Awakens **
6) Revenge of the Sith
7) Phantom menace
8) Attack of the Clones
9) Bill Murray as "Nick the Lounge Singer" singing "Star Wars"
10) Star Wars Christmas Special
11) The Ewok Adventure
12) Watching the weird kid in school burn his Star Wars action figures that one time in elementary
13)
14) Last Jedi
My favourite Star Wars movie to have come out in the recent years is called Star Trek.

Yeah, I've never seen the box again, it was yellow, with photos of the kit. This would be back 83ish. It may have been a rebox of the good for the time Italeria M4A1.
.
Yeah, Testors repacks other people's kits. Scalemates says it's a rebox of the Italeri 1977 kit. I put that one together, it was fine except the barrel was visibly bent.

Real tanks have curves!

I don't know if it's the same vehicle, all the photos were in a jumble. There are also photos of M4A2 engines in that set, so it's very possible that they are separate tanks. It's unlikely that the tank in the bottom is an M4A3 since I don't think the Canadians got any, but they did use the Sherman IBY.

What kind of Sherman is this?

Russian is best, agreed.

Impressive that it took the dolphins four years to starve to death.

Zvezda's new stuff is top notch. I'm looking forward to their T-34-85.

They specifically state that the escape hatch was not suitable for the device, but don't say why.

I'm looking at a list of improvements added to the Canadian Grizzly tank, and it contains the following:
- 2nd first aid kit and holder
- 2" bomb thrower
- Mine snake hatch
- Red bird lamp & bracket
- Hand grenade stowage
- Spent cartridge bag removal
What is a mine snake hatch and a red bird lamp? I assume that the first is a hatch to drop mine-clearing detonation cord of some kind, but what's the second? A red tinted lamp that doesn't spoil your night vision maybe?
