    Cool, tell that to the nations who can't afford thermals on their vehicles, if they can, they can pay up, or they probably develop their own tech and vehicles already and don't need exports to begin with. Care to source any of that? including that none are being upgraded? this will be good. the ZTQ-5 strikes again, what is this mystery vehicle?! And perhaps you shouldn't have said VT-5, because, aside from that fact that's also a wrong designation (big hint, the PLA and export vehicle designations never hyphenate a base name ever, It's VT5), there's also the fact that the designation "ZTQ-5" doesn't even exist hyphen or not and it's completely fictitious. Oh, you also missed the fact there were 4 competitors and not 3, and the new light MBT isn't based on any of them and still under testing and currently has no year number assigned to it's designation, and lastly that the VT5 wasn't a direct losing bid but design loosely based on a losing bid but intended for export all along after one wave of the competition. which reminds me, if it even was a service vehicle, why would it have the year designation "5"? aside from the fact it's very recent and not even finished, it would be either 05 or 15 if it was even type classified yet, let along during those years which it isn't. And lastly, the sources I'm asking (who are very credible) all claim that It's going to be a ZTZ designation for the new light and not a ZTQ, so...... TL:DR, you really have very poor understanding how PLA procurement or designations work at all.

Probably because as LoooSeR just said, these are export vehicles, and "all the bells and whistles" puts it out of the price range of any potential buyers, and anyone who can do it themselves almost certainly wouldn't need to export in the first place. China's primary buyers are located mostly, in order by region in, 1. Southeast and Central Asia 2. Africa 3. the Middle East 4. South America and 5. Far Eastern Europe. Do these sound like regions with countries loaded with cash for the most part to spend on the cutting edge assuming were not talking about the nations where the USA and Russia already has a firm foothold? maybe theres a reason for the past 4 years China has been the 3rd most successful arms exporter, they know how to play the game. So, here you admit that said gear is expensive which would've answered your previous questions of why said gear is optional if you weren't being argumentive, because It's targeted at large sales to poorer nations, this is called "how to make money." No one cares how good your export vehicle is if no one actually on the export market can even afford it in significant quantities. Also, what exactly is the "ZTQ-5"? is this some new super weapon we haven't heard of? So a literal decade ago = recent? because that's when the ZBD04A actually entered service as the designation was initially confused by most sources as the ZBD08, even I initially wrote it as this years ago along with a few other mistakes I learned to fix in my writings because I was taught the hard way how to put effort into it, this is because Chinese designations are really complicated and change often due to the fact they're rarely correctly identified in the first place. (and even though it entered full production on 2008, it was approved in 2007) Again with this mysterious ZTQ-5 vehicle, what is this exactly?

    Surprisingly the aircraft involved in said incident suffered minor damage even to critical components. (It needs some repairs before it's flyable again but it's not a write off by any means.)

    Yeah It's hard to see at a distance but it does. A few of the later Chinese HMGs are relatively small for their caliber so it gives space to fit other things in a compact area.

    VT"X" generally designates an export vehicle yes (there are a few other export codes, VT is the most common though.) Also, note the mostly tan with light brown/green blotches camo patterns, this is almost always used exclusively on export vehicle demos, the PLA doesn't actually use this color scheme.

    I mean, it was all shown on public video with announcers and demonstration personnel to interview and describe what was happening, I could have someone rewatch it and tell me exactly what it says, but, considering it's currently 3:30 in the morning in China, that may take a bit. Also my wife hates doing long translations so, best not to anger her.

    Check the slow mo on the video, you can clearly see that another projectile explodes mid air after contacting the first interceptor a split second before the second, more visible missile is intercepted. (that or it was a decoy that was too small to really show up on video.) http://i.imgur.com/BuuLDnX.mp4 It was likely fired from a completely different angle making the projectile harder to see from the point of view of the camera, I'd assume to test the claimed 360 degree coverage.

    More things. The wheeled assault vehicle/APC they talked about. I'll try to get better screenshots later but, 4x4 and 6x6 MRAP, the latter of which appears to be based on a heavily beefed up and modified WZ-551 hull. both rated to take 10kg of TNT (the 6x6 was tested on video with bionic replicas of people inside during one showing.)

    Interesting note: the fact it shot down 2 full sized missiles at once actually demonstrates another design intention. That it can effectively counter "decoy" rockets and missiles like the RPG-30 which fires a smaller, inert warhead directly before firing the main warhead, the point of said design is to fool an APS with the dummy warhead and letting the main one pass through unchallenged. In this case, it would simply shoot both down.

    It's a QBU-10 12.7x108mm with a Night/Thermal sight and some.....rather worn out desert tape. (The Chinese make a shit ton of different AMR models, the QBU-10 is one of the more common.)

    But the SIG is flawless, and all of these tests are faked or forged (actually claimed on TFB) and the officer who shot himself despite his gun being holstered was the fault of the holster! (also claimed) and this is all just a big conspiracy theory by GLOCK XD! (Also claimed, with retarded anime face included.) Whoever made the comparision that SIG Sauer fanboys are like the BMW drivers of the firearms world, holy shit that couldn't possibly be more accurate.

    I'm calling out your comments for what they are, 1 of which was a biased video from RT of all sources (which even most of my Russian friends will call out), and second was you freaking out over a comment LoooSeR (not me) made over a simple score sheet, LoooSeR posted, not me. (and LoooSeR wasn't trying to start any fights or prove anything, he was doing it as a matter of fact post.) and you freaked out and said how it must be fake or rigged or some shit because clearly Chinese can't shoot well and the 2A72 proves they couldn't have won....even though the Russians were also using the 27A2 gun in that same trial. I'll ask once more, contribute to the topic at hand, this doesn't.
