  1. So I just got the Prey reboot a bit ago, I was a tad lukewarm to the original game, but even my most snobby friends are telling me the reboot is pretty legit.
  2. Honestly no one even used chat that much after the first week or so anyway. Seems like a waste of time and effort to get something back that was dead in the first place to be perfectly honest.
  3. Pfft, we all know the best way to do it is to pull it out of your pocket before hand and conceal the shots with your coat!
  4. But the owner himself will look far less dumb for not buying a .300 Blackout rifle to counter that.
  5. And to celebrate a new rifle arriving later today, a picture of (presumably) a Polish sniper team using an M200 Intervention during the Afghan war shown to me by Akula.
  6. Top to Bottom. Type 74 flamethrower (rather rare to see in service and drills, flamethrowers were mostly replaced in the man portable incendiary role by the FHJ-84 Twin barreled 62mm Incendiary rocket launcher and thermobarics.) QJG-89 12.7x108mm HMG. QLZ-04 "Heavy" 35x32mm GMG. (Heavy is relative to the QLZ-87 in size and weight, though they don't really fit the same role even though both are GMGs.)
  7. I'm more interested in J-10B and JH-7B development news over other, newer fighters and bombers just because they're so damn sexy as fuck. .....The J-10C, which is the variant that adds conformal fuel tanks and other improvements may be better overall, but damnit they make it look like they fed it a diet of a family sized bag of Cheetos 3 times a day with those damned fuel tumors.
  8. There's a very big reason the Lightning Gun and the Railgun are basically the top 2 most valued weapons in competitve quake (and the Rocket Launcher of course, the Grenade launcher is situationally really useful but that's missing) If you get those against an opponent who doesn't they simply can't openly trade with you without a pretty massive HP/Armor advantage and/or severely out playing you.
  9. Yeah, but they were all the same size so in competitive play, you couldn't gain an advantage from picking a female character or something else with a smaller build. I can pretty much foresee now that no one will even pick the bigger, "tankier" heroes because being slow and having a larger hitbox will massively negate the advantages of more health as in Quake, speed and Agility are THE factors you want on a character (granted, these were all even in previous quake games, but as I was saying), losing that plus having a larger hitbox is just a target for getting you murderfucked by any of the smaller characters who can aim in the slightest.
  10. It's not an exact clone by any means, but there are some elements visible, like it being class based, characters having specific stats and hitboxes (seriously, what the fuck on the hit boxes) and special passive and active powers. Literally, if they design it at all like any of the old quake games, people are just going to pick the really fast, agile characters with the smallest hitboxes, being fast in Quake is like the biggest advantage you can have like Rocketninja mentioned. The problem is, when game developers take ideas from other, more popular games and add them to a completely different franchise to compete, it generally keeps following that trend. look at what happened to DOOMs multiplayer when they tried to make it DOOM meets CoD/Halo.
  11. TF2 is also a shooter, just without the MOBA shit added. hence why I compared it to TF2/LoL. There's only one real ARTS anyway, It's called DotA 1 and 2.
  12. Wouldn't it be more accurate to call Overwatch a LoL/TF2 clone that somehow gets credited for inventing it's own genre of games because Blizzard can do no wrong?
  13. If they actually make the new Quake a fucking Team Fortress Overwatch clone then fuck gaming forever.
  14. Most members here already mock the hell out of most British tank designs for reference.
  15. Even closer images of the NK OICW, judging from some of the design features it's clearly AK-74 based. (Type 85 or 88 in NK) Credits Akula_941. This likely rules out the Chinese QTS-11 (the True name of the ZH-05) as the "parent" of the NK OICW as the rifle portion of the QTS-11 is based on a cut down QBZ-03 memory serve me. It's also using a magazine fed launcher design which the QTS-11 program ditched pretty early in development because it proved to be too heavy and bulky.
  16. NBA Playoffs start today. I really want to cheer for the Bulls but, considering we had a rough season and got 8th seed, my hopes aren't exactly high unless Wade recovers from his injury and gets back into form fast as hell.
  17. U-47 found an earlier date, this wasn't covered as heavily, July 1982, also a Romanian based T-72/"Type 64" code name. (Exact day unknown.)
  18. According to U-47, June 4th, 1983 from Romania, the tank was put under the codename "Type 64" for security reasons at the time.
  19. In this episode of "Nathan S. posts an article that Richard Johnson already did an entire day ago". http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/06/ruger-precision-rifle-now-available-intermediate-cartridges-5-56-release/#disqus_thread Meanwhile, in Yesterday. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/05/new-ruger-precision-rifle-5-56/
  20. Full retard meets mega retard in the comments section. Eric Atkinson • 8 minutes ago It does not follow that "Unit endurance would be cut in half." I carry 6 30rd mags plus the one 30rd mag in my Sig 762. That's 210 rounds. I could carry more. So it seems to me that most infantrymen could do that plus a belt or two of 7.62 for an M240. Weight carried should be prioritized by ammo, water, other weapons, med, body armor, Com,and food.
