Sturgeon
Technically not mechanized warfare, but what can my armor guys tell me about this gun?
Walter_Sobchak
Not much to say about it, they only made a 100 or so and it was pretty quickly replaced by recoil-less rifles. I don't know how closely related it is to the 76mm guns found in US tanks and TDs. http://www.forgottenweapons.com/t124e2-76mm-anti-tank-gun/
Sturgeon
I found the info I wanted, as y'all can see. Still don't have pen figures for the APDS, though. LostCosmonaut
Walter_Sobchak
I did a post promoting your piece on the T124E3 on my site. Of course, I'm sure you already get exponentially more traffic than I do.
Sturgeon
Now do an article on tank coaxes or something small armsy so I can link to your blog!
Walter_Sobchak
But I don't actually know much about tank coax guns.
Sturgeon
Guest post? Steve says I'm allowed to link to your blog once you do something small-armsy.
Belesarius
Compare/Contrast of the US and USSR designs? Might be neat.
Sturgeon
But I don't actually know much about tank coax guns. Colli and Ensign could probably put their heads together for a guest post.
Donward
But I don't actually know much about tank coax guns. What about small arms used by tankers in WW2/Korea? What kinds? How many per tank/platoon/company/regiment, etc. How were they intended to be used by the tankers in a self defense scenario? Are there field manuals that show the "correct" tactics to get squishies off your tank with small arm fire? Pistol ports? And those unpronounceable German barrel attachments that let the Krauts fire out of their open hatch? I'm sure some or all of this info would be handy and easy enough to find.
