    I've found that if you don't try to lunge for an officer's weapon while on drugs and have multiple warrants for your arrest, the odds of being shot by police go down dramatically.

    In terms of the accuracy of cavalry charges in paintings and movies, it should be clear that the artists and directors are opting for visually dramatic portraits rather than an actual manual of arms.. It's like framing a photograph, you want everyone to squish together so you can get the whole gang into the shot.

    I was casting around looking for something else when I came across this gem of an instructional video aimed at youth going through hunter safety education featuring John Wayne. I just might have to try the can and half dollar trick at the 10:50 mark. Although it's typical of the classic scare-em-straight educational videos of the period, it is a time capsule of the role that folks expected of firearms in our parents and grandparents generation.

    Getting hit by a BB is no laughing matter. Effing hurts. The benefit of paintball is that you can actually see if you hit someone or not. Otherwise just use your fingers and run around yelling "bang, bang". Or I guess you could play Laser Tag like a feygut.
