Not to scale and not at the same angle, I used the best looking pictures I could find at the time I made it (M724A1E1 is now M724A2). I left out the M416 WP round because I couldn't find anything about it still being in use. -

The 105mm M68 gun, not a 105mm howitzer. As far as I am aware the US just has 'dumb' ammunition in stock. Airburst as in it explodes at a set distance and sprays the target area with fragments. My assumption is they want a single round to replace HEP/HEAT/Canister. -

The Pentagon reverses the planned 2019 deadline on limiting cluster weapon use to weapons with 99%+ reliability. This also applies to artillery like DPICM.

I missed this but back in August a feeler was put out for an airburst capable 105mm round. Presumably it would be for both the MPF and Stryker MGS. IMI is the only company I am aware of offering such a round. ATK does make a multipurpose round but I don’t consider a proximity fuse to be airburst. -

I find it interesting that out of everything Trump said they chose “Trump doesn’t have high expectations” to justify taking their ball and going home.- 5,676 replies

If we are talking active guidance and not INS/GPS my opinion is that -I am really disappointed the XM1111 MRM got cancelled in a rash of short sighted cost cutting. -Guided rounds fall into the special purpose niche that gun launched ATGMs do. -Programmable airburst rounds (both the HE and KE variety) seem to have superseded guided rounds due to cost effectiveness. -NLOS is an attractive potential.

Not to defend O’Keefe’s motivations, but I have to ask a philosophical question. If O’Keefe uses a shady method to reveal a bias or narrative, does that shady method invalidate the ‘whistleblowing’? Edit: To give an example, if WaPo had ran this story would the lack of due diligence/fact-checking/journalistic ethic be excused because O’Keefe tricked them.- 5,676 replies

They must be a bit more wary of bait now that O'Keefe has caught them several times with the Russia nothingburger.- 5,676 replies

I haven’t read the thread, did anyone point out that if the second comic is Islamophobic it means the first comic is misandrist?- 5,676 replies

The headline is intentional, for all the media’s handwringing they are more than willing to do the same lies / misleading statements / hyperbole they attack Trump for.

Well it's past the 19th in most time zones, I think it's safe to say we survived another prophesied collision with Nibiru. 'When' they find Planet Nine they need to name it Nibiru just to mess with conspiracy theorists. -
Yemen is probably going to last a long time as a proxy.

The 15 (eventually 16) ABCTs include the National Guard units. My understanding is there are 1,605 M1A2 SEP/SEPv2 and 791 M1A1 SA, with the rest being older M1A1s. The USMC only has 3 active tank battalions out of their 403 M1A1 FEP. This isn't accounting for the new SEPv3 made out of M1A1s.
