    There are many, many things on this earth we kill from helicopters for culling. It's fast, effective, and there's money in it. 

     

    If anyone on this forum simply dislikes the prospect, then they can take their delicate lilac scented feelings somewhere else. Maybe to a place where dumb opinions can be used to cull invasive species.

    Someday, I'd like to take a trip into Chernobyl, as I have always had a fondness for abandoned buildings and ruins.

    But the findings are indeed rather interesting.  Do you know if there is another paper that shows similar findings, but for the aftermath of the Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombs? I know the two events and culture are very different, but it would be interesting to see.

    I know the story has been making the media rounds. Good thing he didn't use a .25 ACP, he'd have just made the critter angry...

  4. His original attempt did not end as nicely.  

     

     

    Frame snapped where the headtube and downtube attach.  This was back in 2004.  Good to see him go for it again after all these years. 

     

     

     

    I have experience with bike riding (Tour Divide 2011, CX racing, Triathlon racing, XCO MTB racing, etc).  Going fast is a wonderful thing.  

     

    But when I hit 60 mph down a hill on 23mm wide tires, I do tend to think "Man, I could die so fast right now."
