Here's one I hadn't heard of before that @RobotMinisterofTrueKorea brought up, the Blohm and Voss P-214:


 
This is a replica of the daft thing in an aviation museum in Virginia Beach.
 
The idea was that this would be some sort of manned glide bomb, carried aloft by a host plane and let loose over the formation of Allied bombers.  The pilot of the P-214 would then aim his craft at the formation and bail out before it exploded among the targets.
 
I think the German WWII aviation effort needs a critical re-appraisal vis a vis their Pervitin consumption.

There are several modification under the term revalorisé (renewed/upgraded):
 
The M4A4 T, witch ditch the Chrysler multibank engine for either a continental or a wright R 975.
It also add episcopes on the commander hatch

They were all designed Sherman Revalorisé, just like the AMX 10 RCR is an AMX 10 RC(Revalorisé), or the VAB revalorisé, or the Au F1 revalorisé, etc
 
Revalorisé is quite a common term in the French army and it just designate an upgraded version of an equipement (even if they are several modifications under the designation), generally an end of life upgrade before removing it from service.
And AFAIK while the M51 was the correct designation in the IDF, the Super Sherman thing wasn't official (Zuk could confirm/infirm that)

Maybe a "Le Kepi Blanc" chaser in the form of a Free French late PzIV or PzIII to really piss off the wehraboos.

I got back into KSP. I never really played around with aircraft, so I figured I'd give it ago. Results were mixed.
 
First up in my Tu-22M Backfire. It flies like ass, but it's a reasonably accurate likeness. Unless there's some way to make variable geometry wings work, this was the closest I could get.


 
Next up is my MiG-15/La-15 hybrid. Similarly flies terrible. However I'm much happier with this likeness. I toyed with the design some, and came up with a Super MiG-15. I went for a squared off scoop and an afterburning thrust vectoring engine. There were some minor additional airframe changes I made and the end result is pretty fantastic. I weighed one down as a research and science aircraft and it was still capable of circumnavigating Kerbin at a brisk Mach 2. The lighter "fighter" variant should offer similarly impressive performance. Due the narrow gear, landings are a dodgy prospect.

I got the M26E1 over the weekend too.  So I have the trifecta.
 

So this was easily my best match ever on Ash river. I finally got all the way into that spot in the south at the top of the hill and I got shots on every tank that went for A. It was me and a Pz IIIJ holding the A point for the entire map. I was also able to lock down B Point as well. 
 
The Achilles is currently my favorite TD. It's an improvement upon the already stellar M10. The loss of HE filler is more than made up for by the fact that you can shoot through any armor plate you encounter at the 4.0-5.0 Battle rating.

I tried playing the British at 3.7 and didn't really care for it. They can bring a really nice 3.0 line up. The Crusader III's QF6 is spectacularly nasty at BR 2.7 and it's on a nice low platform. After learning the locations of ammo racks on tanks at tier, the Cromwell's solid shot is pretty great.
