Can I say "Fuck that guy"?
Because fuck that guy.
T34 made a hell of a lot more sense from a mechanical standpoint than most kraut shitboxes.

And that very well could be. It's just interesting to get a different take since the 6.5 Arisaka has kind of been resurrected from the dead as the "what might have been" cartridge by certain caliber fetishest who like their round to start with the number SIX.

Tied reacted to Waffentrager in Eric 'Winkle' Brown: Celebrated British pilot dies, aged 97
From the BBC news page;
One of the most famous British pilots, Capt Eric "Winkle" Brown, has died at the age of 97.
He was the Royal Navy's most decorated pilot and held the world record for flying the greatest number of different types of aircraft, 487.
During World War Two Capt Brown flew fighter aircraft and witnessed the liberation of Bergen Belsen concentration camp.
He died at the East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, after a short illness.
A statement released by his family said: "It is with deep regret that the passing of Captain Eric Melrose Brown CBE DSC AFC is announced.
"Eric was the most decorated pilot of the Fleet Air Arm in which service he was universally known as 'Winkle' on account of his diminutive stature.
"He also held three absolute Guinness World Records, including for the number of aircraft carrier deck landings and types of aeroplane flown."

I've meant to write about this before and maybe I will again. But I hate the use of the term "warrior". I hate the use of the term warrior to describe Army soldiers and Marines and other combat branches. It reeks of elitest humbuggery, velcro and chaw.
I'm not sure when the term came into vogue but I'm certain some writer decided to be too smart by reading Ancient Greek texts and thought that affiliating oneself with the Spartans was really cool.
America has had over two hundred years of citizens who are also soldiers and who - after serving - transition back to becoming average Joe Blow civilians. That's the whole point. You look at every World War 2 movie ever made and it centers around some schlub who was driving taxi or teaching high school who just wants to get back home to the wife and kids and to forget about fighting in the war forever.
And that's pretty much how the Founding Father's envisioned it (not that they were always right mind you).

I don't know. I find that picture of Ben Carson and J.C. to be kind of charming. Apparently it was a gift that someone painted for him but I could be mistaken. He also has a bit of scripture engraved in his house stating "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life". I don't know Ben Carson and everything can be a show and a big fake humbug. But if there was a man who ran for President portraying himself as humble, Carson certainly has done a good job of it.
Looking at his house, in some of the online articles that featured the painting, it certainly looks the type of place that a very well-to-do black family lives in who came for poor and humble beginnings. Everything is spotless, immaculate, like a showroom. I've known similar families.
