It is rare to see Mi-24P use troop compartment for what was intended.

Not sure if it's related, but "slam, drop and Go" was the doctrine developed for the UH1's, and it was very much in effect when I was in.

Other than the "guns" your task was to shit troopies and rtb for more.  My job was "shooting at everything that looked offensive".

(other than the helicopter, that is).

  2. To add- Tubular reciever.  One for 5.56/5.45/7.62M43, one for 7,62/7,92/7,62X63.

Your bolt carrier is the sole critical component. Look at a Sterling bolt. Designed to be self clearing. Incorporate a cut for "bolt hold open".

You have two diameters of tube, with two matching diameters of bolt carrier, and three bolt faces.  Use the Johnson bolt, and the AR-16/18 gas system.

For the lower use the second gen AR-18 FCS (M-16 bitsa), and if you want to be "innovative" use a molded lower. It's taking NO stress, and merely serves to hold the magazine and FCS in alignment. For added grins you could incorporate a dovetailed section to the lower, to allow swapping magwells, for the people who think they my want to have one lower and a million uppers.( Maybe one in 6,5X55, using Swedish BAR mags, interchanging with U.S. BAR mags when sanity prevails).

The trick is in incorporating a "datum" line in the upper. This is your core reference. All measurements come from this.

Make this the point at which your barrel/chamber/barrel extension pins to (pins, so you can market it's "interchangeability")

  3. Too complex, use existing structural rolls/channels.

Stoner had a good idea with the AR-16.  Use as many simple bits as possible.  Make it so you can whack parts for it out of scrap metal, if needed.

Determine your desired receiver width, and work from there so that the bolt carrier will be the sole critical component.  Then make that carrier (and the whole piece) so it will use as many AR (or AK) parts as possible.

    Great pic...thanks for sharing!

    Albeit a bit depressing.

That thing belongs in a museum, or in a collection.

Not rotting in the middle of nowhere, where it was last used as a static pillbox.

Russians are pulling M4's from the sea and restoring them, deservedly so.

Much as I think the PzKfwIV was a design nearing obsolescence through much of WW2, it is still very much worth preserving.

(I got a new, MUCH LARGER monitor, and)  JESUS FUCKING CHRIST what did you do to that knife!?

I have a Buck 124 that is likely older than most of the internet, that has seen more abuse than a trailer-park crackwhore, and it's nowhere near as messed up as that.

    This was my point.

Is shattered, fine china (WT) any better than polished garbage (WoT)? Because I’m pretty sure both are worthless and should be placed in the trash. Gaijin ruined their own game, for me, by making to many business decisions at the expense of player enjoyment. They’re comparable to EA in my eyes, and will therefore be ignored (and ridiculed) by me until changes are implemented.

Pretty sure I already posted the spike through the heart for me, long ago, when they decided to fuck everyone by redoing "the economy".

If you want a tank game, it's way better than WoT, and AW isn't even on the map. There is some shit that they need to fix, for sure, but the problems that WT has are no where near as bad as WoT (except the Nazi bias, good god Gaijin guzzles wehraspooge)

That is the only picture I could find, and this was taken from a blogger.

The project never really went beyond prototype stage, and all Shermans in the IDF continued their service with other modifications. So I assume this whole thing came at the cost of either high modification costs or close to non-existent ergonomics.

They would have needed midgets/dwarves for the TD/BOG positions.

    Wrangler is mor comfortable anyway.

I buy whatever is on sale at Rural King.

Tends to be made of brown canvas, and have pockets of dubious utility, but they are cheap and take a long time to wear out.

That is when I'm not wearing a work uniform, or one of the nigh upon innumerable sets of coveralls I've collected.

Noting says "Swank" like going into a fairly upper end Aviation themed cafe wearing frayed and greasy WW2 era coveralls and a OD ballcap with a thoroughly fucked brim, and daring them to throw you out.

These mall crawlers are better maintained than most "legal" cars on the road....

All the shit they could be going after, and they chose this.
