I found a new paperweight for my desk. This will considerably augment the document anchoring capacity of my 37mm M59 projectile.

Funny you mention it because these popped up on Akula's QQ group earlier today.
Also, just for the hell of it, this thing!.

Ulanov posted a document regarding Soviet experimental 5.6 mm rounds in 1941. A prototype was tested, but it was deemed impossible to produce a gun with the required weight of 3.6 kg.

I still want to see the unsolicited Brunswick SAW.

For that matter, I'd also like to get more information on the Springfield and AAI belt-fed machineguns chambered for SPIW cartridges.

Never mind that the British SAS had acquired 5,000 AR-15 in 1965, and put them to use almost immediately in Borneo. Never mind that they ordered another 13,000, circa 1967.

Sturgeon's SAW post on TFB got me thinking about the XM248 and an idea of mine. Here are a few relevant XM248 documents and links. Somebody needs to find one and give Ian a call.

I know the actual designers of the gun MRI bought the rights from, ZVI (Czech based company, used to actually be part of the makers of the recently much talked about FK BRNO pistol before splitting off) had a massive layoff in 2013, that had some rather clear impact on the original Kevin ZP98 model throughout the world.
They had to slightly modify the design to get it approved for US importation and manufacture, this lead to some early problems for the US made guns but they got ironed out, as for whether they still make them, well.....

Interesting. I’ve worked with Chris Wachsberger over the years - this is the same guy that spend years trying to get unitary vision/1x optics on every weapon as “only binoculars can be used to acquire targets”.
