  1. Not sure I'd agree there.....Both put their own gratification at the top of the priority stack and almost always at the expense of others. The degree of gratification they draw from the various different aspects of an interaction may vary, but their primary motivation remains essentially identical.
  2. Strange it is. Just out of interest, it is very easy to induce something very close to sadistic/homicidal psychopathy in others: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7791278.stm
  3. Double post.....Might as well use it now I made it! So.....IMHO the psychopaths in the world of business have inflicted vastly more harm to their fellows than those who have taken up weapons and acted directly.
  4. There are various classes of psychopath, very few of them are directly murderous or sadistic in the classic sense and very few are actually detected in youth, the vast majority gravitate toward the business world these days, an environment literally made for their needs (by the psychopaths who have gone before). Truth.....Apart from anything else, promoting such idiotic devices doesn't really fit in with the 'mature firearms enthusiast' image they try to project elsewhere.
  5. InfoWars is off down the 'second-shooter' trail already, but it did point me to this: Las Vegas PD Radio: https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=378_1506956902
  6. This summary of events from LA Times seems comprehensive: http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-las-vegas-deadly-shooting-20171002-story.html But it still doesn't make any goddam sense!
  7. Those too, on a firearms licence (as opposed to a shotgun licence) there is no restriction on ammo capacity (IIRC it's only three rounds on a shotgun licence), a friend has just installed an eleven round tube on his semi-auto.....Not sure about the rules for external magazines.
  8. The only semi-autos we have legal access to are .22 rifles.
  9. Cheers for the heads-up.....Definitely explains what I thought I could hear, the M240B actually matches it quite well (you don't see too many of those in the UK, unless your dress sense is heavily focussed on camouflage). The cranks are totally different and I have to admit they do seem a bit pointless.....Maybe just use a few less bullets and actually put them on the target?
  10. I've been trying to find clear audio, it seemed to me that the ROF drops very slightly after a couple of seconds then picks up again, but it's very difficult to tell.
  11. Which is why we keep reinventing the mobile-phone.....Capitalism is a dead end, it confuses profit with progress.
  12. I think you might well be in the ballpark with the 100rnd AR-15 drum, the ROF doesn't seem as high or consistent as the video you linked to, perhaps a semi-auto .223 with one of those winder things and a 100rnd drum?
  13. Does that fit with his known income? He seems to have been pretty well off, but could this be an indicator of something else?
  14. Could he have been used, I wonder, a willing or unwilling patsy of another actor? He was conveniently dead by the time law enforcement arrived and there's no indication at present that he attempted to flee the scene.
  15. I'm highly sceptical of an ISIS connection prior to the fact, but we've not seen much evidence one way or the other yet, so I suppose it is possible.
  16. That makes him a Lurcher.....Welcome to the club! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurcher
  17. Oh FFS: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/uk-news/las-vegas-isis-shooting-live-13704438?service=responsive
  18. PKM.....Where the hell would you get such a thing and for what possible reason? Do bears launch human ursine wave attacks in the US these days? EDIT - Jesus it's getting worse.....I'm seeing reports of 50+ dead & 500+ wounded! Maybe it was a PKM after all? Truly, truly horrified.
  19. Nightmare.....I've seen the chaos that a gun can cause at a gig first hand. Deeply saddened.
  20. Little Lenses are the secret there: http://www.modellingtools.co.uk/little-lenses-26-c.asp
  21. @Toxn Magnificent dog.....Greyhound? Greyhound/Pharoah? I have Lurchers: I'm also getting kind of interested in horse-archery, hence me being in here poking about.....Have a Scythian Bow (stashed with a friend at my country-residence), still need a horse though.
  22. I'd venture good.....We'll get nowhere by sitting around and reinventing the mobile-phone every twelve months and that's a fact.
