M551 question. So the gunner has 2 sight options, either the M127 or M127A1 telescopic sight or the M44 passive infrared periscope M44. But neither sight has a sight picture or increments for a specific round used. How did the gunner knew how to adjust the aim point when using different type of rounds(M409A1 HEAT, M657A2 HE or the canister round)?

Are there any plans or is it even possible to mount Trophy APS on Leos like the 2A7HU or does it have to be factory incorporated like on the newly planned German 2A8? It seems really pointles to buy a new tank without APS(or even without the option of mounting it) in the year 2022+.

I have a few questions about the French FL-11 turret mostly used on the Panhard EBR ad on a few AMX-13 hulls. How was the turret controlled/driven? By the rotation speed on this video(https://youtu.be/F4aXdDNLgUY) I suspect that at least the horizontal drive was electrically driven. Did the gunner and TC have a duplicate set of controls? What were the sights used by the gunner? Any photos of the interior would be greatly appreciated. I only found some pictures from the PrimePortal, but they do not show much.

The Soviet Tank Thread: Transversely Mounted 1000hp Engines
Cheburashka replied to T___A's topic in Mechanized Warfare
This is from a video about a destroyed T-80 in Ukraine. The video doesn't show much else, or I'm not able to pick up enough data from the short video to determine if it's a BV or an U. I think that it's a "newly" built T-80BV as in not a T-80B hull upgraded to the T-80BV: Also, I've seen that video on a picture site called 9GAG where people think that Russians use WOOD! instead of "metal" in their tanks. I know that a person who isn't a tank enthusiast doesn't know about composites or textolite in this specoific case, but common, thinking that Soviets used wood as a armor filler.....I bet that some news sites will also report this is being wood. https://9gag.com/gag/ajVLNEQ#comment- 5,212 replies

External modifications to the T-72B3M: 1: Dynamic protection has been added to the over-tracked regiments in the area of the tracked belt as on the T-90M. 2: Added dynamic protection on the cannon mask. 3: Added dynamic protection on the turret. 4: New sensors (kind is unknown). 5: Mechanism for opening armored flaps of thermal sight. Could new sensors(4) be some kind of a laser warning reciever?- 5,212 replies

A new batch of T-80BVM tanks. If you look more closely, you can notice these tanks have an additional ERA plates on roof and the sight protection.
