Sturgeon
The Dollars Trilogy is amazing and well worth marathoning. T___A, Belesarius, LoooSeR and 1 other
Toxn
It might just be a like-the-one-you've-seen-first thing, but I like a Fistful of Dollars more than Yojimbo.
Sturgeon
I like them both pretty much equally, but Kurosawa's mastery in direction is unquestioned. Belesarius and Toxn

Walter_Sobchak
The funny thing about the Western is that it's really hard to describe exactly what it is. At its most obvious, a western is a movie that takes place on the American frontier. But by that definition, Little House on the Priarie is a Western. I don't think most people have that in mind when they think Western. On the other hand, the sci-fi film "Outland" starring Sean Connery from 1981 is a Western in regards to the plot and style, if not the setting. The Road Warrior is another example of a western set in a non-western setting. Truth be told, the "Western" is a film genre that has very little to do with the historical reality that was the American west, thankfully for those western settlers. Damn, I think my ramblings killed the thread. Anyhow, here is Death Rides a Horse. Donward
