    I'm okay with flying into fire and steel to finish a fight. Dying just to strafe some dipshit on the ground irks me much more.

    The new base AAA buff in WT (essentially base AAA is now all radar-guided stuff from the 50s) has lead to a lot of matches where the losing team simply packs up and camps at home base until they can win on tickets. This is annoying, as you can imagine. Especially when you don't have the time to sit around with your finger up your ass while the AI decides the match on the ground. Or when your 7:2 advantage, gained through excellent team-work and flying, now means nothing in the face of two tossers who park on runway and go AFK for the rest of the match.

    Seconded, with the addition that my connection is shit and living in SA dooms me to 250+ ping at best. RoF is a pain in the ass to set up, control-wise, btw.

In any case; Brone, for your own sanity I'd suggest that you leave it. Otherwise these dudes will spend all day telling you about the five thousand-and-one rooms of the heavenly maze that is the US political system. You're better off using the neurons to understand transonic flow over non-rotating projectiles.

    Eh, I have a soft spot for bands willing to take the piss out of themselves on occasion, and CoF is a supreme example of exactly that. Throw them on with some Type O negative to get the full effect.

    This would actually be more comforting than the more prosaic explanation; that a person can, with all good intent, cause unimaginable suffering and horror through simple ignorance.

    Turning to sterilization, it is well known in feral cats and dogs that you need to sterilize upwards of 98% of the population to get the numbers to drop. Even though deer don't produce litters, I'd imagine that the issue is similar in magnitude.

    My wife, who used to ride and later worked as a veterinary nurse, used to complain about how it was the bleeding hearts who inevitably caused the most horrific* suffering by taking on too many animals, not neutering, not euthanizing etc. She felt that farmers made the best clients, as they tended to be clear-headed about things like cost and suffering. * Seriously, some of the stories are grotesque. A true sadist could never inflict as much harm as a good person with no clue.

    I once used liquid nitrogen to make ice cubes out of lab-grade ethanol. This, i feel, might be getting some of the way to making a drink strong enough for this sort of idiocy.

    Latest pooch on Gaijin's bestaility list: g force mechanics. Want to boom and zoom? Then hope your pilot is fully elite, unless you like losing control the whole time. Didn't spend money or months grinding your pilot? Then no energy fighting for you. Edit: this is pretty infuriating because climbing, boom-and-zoom etc is a huge part of the meta right now in RB. Your team simply can't win unless your guys win at altitude.

    Since I've been playing a bit of War Thunder again, here were my experiences yesterday: Realistic ground battle (British): can't see anything because I'm too proud to turn foliage off, get rekt by everything because my armour is made of paper and nitroglycerin. Give up on ground battles (again). Realistic air battle (British): get hurricane on high over an island map, whole team derps around at low level before being bounced by a full team of A5M4s on comms. My hurricane spends the rest of the match alone, running and gunning before accumulating enough damage to go into the drink. Realistic air battle (British): team holds together and gets into a low-level furball with Yaks, Laggs and a chaika. I take on two, fly one into the ground and kill the other one before getting rekt by Chaika and lag spikes. Good battle Realistic air battle (British): come in late and find both teams turn-fighting over the bay. Japanese team is entirely Ki-45s, so my hurricane takes two kills and two assists. Get fireballed by AAA over the enemy airfield, as the last Ki-45 camping on the runway. Realistic air battle (USSR): Play Chaika, murder everything.
