Clearly New Jersey needs stronger gun laws, even though they have some of the strongest in the nation. Hey everyone, let's all blame inanimate objects and make up excuses to take away things from people who have not and would never do anything wrong with said objects!

You just keep digging your "Whatabout" hole.  Now you bring Ted Kennedy into it for no particular reason.  I don't seem to recall any of these people having their own justice department pursuing an investigation into their campaign for possible collusion.  You seem to keep forgetting that point.

So we aren't talking about the dangers of our elected officials secretly working with our adversaries to undermine our national interests. The scope of the conversation is specifically about how Trump is working with our adversaries to undermine our national interests, got it.

I want to make sure that I'm tracking this correctly. Trump, the populist candidate, was so unpopular that he couldn't have won without outside help from the Russians. The Comey starts sniffing around for collusion, so Trump fires him, triggering a full blown special council investigation into collusion. But it's OK that Trump fired Comey, because Comey used his official position to influence the election which causes Hillary to lose. Does that sound about right?

And Bush looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul.  Again, what the hell does it have to do with what is going on now?

How are those two comparable? Should we list all of the world leaders that Obama prostrated himself before? Your want to talk about people working with the Russians on things that are detrimental to our national interests, let's talk about it. Like that time Ted Kennedy sent a letter to the Soviets asking them to be patient and to hold off on foreign policy decisions until Reagan could be removed. But I guess since isn't talking about how Trump is actually a puppet of the Kremlin, then it's "completely unrelated".

As to the Obama quote, that is what we call "whataboutism."  Oddly enough, it was a favorite logical fallacy used by Soviet propagandists.

Fuck, you caught me, I'm secretly an agent of the Kremlin, just like Trump is.

Yes, the whole in Obama thing is completely unrelated to what's happening with Trump. I must have imagined the part where it was about doing something favorable to Putin that would be unpopular with a large number of people here in the US. Damn this sluggish schizophrenia of mine.

    Comey didn't get Trump elected.

If anything has gotten me 'excited' it is Strzok, someone who played a major role in the investigation becoming what it has, openly saying that they would stop Trump from being elected.

Nothing like using your official position in the Justice department to attempt to disrupt a presidential election. But you know, the big story is the Russian dressing that Trump had on his salad, must be collusion.

Let us not forget this timeless quote "Tell Vlad that I'll have more flexibility after the election." - Donald Trump

Wait, I might have misattributed that.....

@Ulric was right, the AVRE is loads of fun, WHEN YOU CAN GET THE FUCKING ANGLES RIGHT. Shooting over obstacles is a nightmare.

It takes a lot of time and practice to get used to the drop. That is the skill component of the vehicle that will keep people from saying that it's overpowered. Also, the stadia don't actually correspond with the range, there is roughly 10% error between point of aim and point of impact.

  7. So, a hidden feature in WT 1.79 patch is a top attack munition, disguised as a 165mm demolition shell. This combines the effects of auto-bounce angles and fuse delay to rain down retarded amounts of shrapnel through weak turret roof and engine deck armor.

    This is repeatable as well.

And if for some reason you mess up this trick shot, you stand a decent chance of just fusing on the turret roof itself, with the most catastrophic of results. Fools who use this tank will try to go for upper glacis shots, but that will generally limit the shrapnel to the drivers compartment. The correct place to aim is turret faces and roofs, or side hull. Don't worry about fusing on tracks or skirting, the results will be the same.

  8. The memewagon has two very different bands where it is effective. You can use it at short range to hulksmash people into an alternate dimension, or you can use it to remove campers who are so far away that they will not see the shell arcing in to hit their roof armor. My first battle out had a mixture of both; I bagged a T29 and Magach 3 at +800m, a Panther II at 400m, and an M5A1 and T32 at about 100m

Or perhaps Jeff Sessions, at least on some level, actually understands that the AG is not the Presidents personal lawyer and is supposed to uphold and follow the law.

Good ol Sessions, doing his job to the best of his abilities..... Oh wait. The fact that so many blatant crimes have gone unpunished is proof enough that he is not doing his job.

    Edit:

    Awwww

This came way too late for me to care. It's pretty bitchin, but it's also WoT.....

Also, pointless because it's not public.

Wow, if they are serious about that article, then they can't impeach Trump for crimes committed before he took office. And what crimes has he committed since he took office?

Full disclosure; I had a suicidal person in the family this year, and it conformed to the backed-into-a-corner hypothesis. It also ended with a proper attempt that was foiled by delay, and the person has since recovered and is back to normal.

Full disclosure; I've been dealing with suicidal depression for 16 years now. I've got a decent handle on it by now, and I can confirm that it is a mental valley that you have to get to the other side of. Once you know and understand that, it is much easier to recognize those cycles and see yourself to the other side (no, not that other side). It's nice to see other people confirm the backed into a corner hypothesis.

I think suicide is predominantly a male-linked phenomenon, and is genetically driven by an ancestral fitness advantage where the perpetrator improves the propagation of his genes by... Dying.

It is heavily male linked. I'm curious to know if our primal competitive nature leads to greater psychological isolation, or if that is just confirmation bias on my part. Could there be something in the male psyche that makes us feel more isolated than females? Is it just the testosterone doing is thing. I'm convinced that there is a link between the feeling of being backed into a corner and male aggression and suicides, but I could be entirely wing about that.

I don’t think getting rid of guns will significantly lower the suicide rate, as there are MANY other ways to kill yourself. Ironically, the gun is one of the more humane ways someone could kill themselves, above hanging and plastic-bag-over-the-head, IMO. I’m not advocating or excusing people whom commit suicide, but there are more (and cheaper) ways someone can take their own life than a handgun.

This also seems like another of those “feel guilty” articles, where they point to something other than the root cause of the issue. In this case, suicides. (un)Humorously, I believe the roots for suicides could lie in a similar place to why there is gun violence: mental health. Not so much like autism, but depression, anxiety, and paranoid schizophrenia (among others). How in hell we’re suppose to fix or mitigate those issues, I haven’t the foggiest idea, but the “ban guns” approach will NOT solve it.

Suicide is most certainly a mental health issue, with depression being a very common factor in it, but that is simply a precursor. The tipping point is essentially the feeling of being backed into a corner with only one way out. If there are other ways to get away from what is causing your problems, most people with take them. It's only when they feel that all other solutions are exhausted that they decide to rage quit, and who can blame them?

But this is just an anecdotal example from my own experience, it most certainly varies from person to person and their own circumstances.

  15. The beautiful part is that the best game play is still in 7.7 and below, maybe even 8.0, so all these new 9.0+ vehicles are irrelevant. Sure, the are really cool, but end tier game play is nothing but campfest pixel hunt ass cancer anyways. Let the try hards have their fancy new toys, there is plenty of fun to be had elsewhere.

  16. Place your bets! What will be the BR of the Leo 2?

    1 to 1 for 7.7

    5 to 1 for 8.3

    10 to 1 for 8.7

    20 to 1 for 9.0

    100 to 1 for 9.3

    10000 to 1 for 9.7+

I'm also expecting to see a thread start on the forums today where filthy Nazi pedos cry about how the Leo 2A4 is under powered and needs an armor buff while having it's BR lowered.

That might actually be worse than home built open bolt API SMGs.....

They are getting wise to the whole 80% thing. I don't know what they can do about it from a legal standpoint, at some point a chunk of metal can't be a firearm.

  18. Ah yes, the old "let's compromise" argument. "Why don't you want to compromise with me?" Because, as you stated, you want to take all guns away, and I want firearm laws to be considerably relaxed from where they are now, so we are already at a compromise. The mistake you make is thinking that I'm perfectly fine with the ways things are right now, and that my desire is to maintain status quo.
