Yup, I already mentioned composites in my Firefly article, so I'll cover them again. Whats the difference between a high and low bustle turret? Is there a matrix of manufacturers and features specific to each one somewhere?

This is weird, I can see it, but when I click download and log in, I see "Sorry! This document is not publicly available." Scribd kinda sucks, I find that Google Drive is much better for sharing PDFs.

Gun Mantlet is a good point. I can tell the difference between M34 and M34A1, anything else? Also only the British cut out a loader's hatch in old turret Shermans, right? It would probably help to have the proper numbers/terms for all of these things...

Lindberg models are fucking terrible. The crewmen that come with the SdKfz 222 have their binoculars molded directly into their face so clumsily that they don't actually have any facial features. But speaking of Shermans, Warspot wants me to do a recognition guide. I'm clear on the major stuff, like the turrets (old school/T23), suspensions (M3 style with the roller on top, the upgraded kind, HVSS), tracks, small/large hatch and associated UFP slopes (the large hatch ones have less sloping, right?), and obviously the major visual differences between the M4/M4A1/M4A2/M4A3/M4A4. Is there anything else I'm missing?

The Star Wars General Discussion Thread

My favourite Star Wars movie to have come out in the recent years is called Star Trek. -
Yeah, Testors repacks other people's kits. Scalemates says it's a rebox of the Italeri 1977 kit. I put that one together, it was fine except the barrel was visibly bent.

I don't know if it's the same vehicle, all the photos were in a jumble. There are also photos of M4A2 engines in that set, so it's very possible that they are separate tanks. It's unlikely that the tank in the bottom is an M4A3 since I don't think the Canadians got any, but they did use the Sherman IBY.

They specifically state that the escape hatch was not suitable for the device, but don't say why.

I'm looking at a list of improvements added to the Canadian Grizzly tank, and it contains the following: 2nd first aid kit and holder 2" bomb thrower Mine snake hatch Red bird lamp & bracket Hand grenade stowage Spent cartridge bag removal What is a mine snake hatch and a red bird lamp? I assume that the first is a hatch to drop mine-clearing detonation cord of some kind, but what's the second? A red tinted lamp that doesn't spoil your night vision maybe?
