  1. There were posts earlier in the thread about two books from Tactical Press that were translated, they are quite good (at least the originals were). There is also Red Machines 1: T-60 Small Tank & Variants which isn't strictly speaking a translated book, but Pasholok also has a Russian T-60 book.
  2. All the documents I found in the Canadian archives refer to them as "the old group" rather than "gang". The TOGs don't come up a lot, but there is one instance where the TOG2 is considered alongside the A30 as a heavy gun carrier, although it is quickly discarded.
  3. Ulanov posted a document regarding Soviet experimental 5.6 mm rounds in 1941. A prototype was tested, but it was deemed impossible to produce a gun with the required weight of 3.6 kg.
  4. Little @Jeeps_Guns_Tanks is pulling a bogey off a knocked-out Sherman while his pal keeps watch.
  5. Got enough stars there? World War II Netherlands. War Museum, Overloon. June 13, 1946. A man and a woman are sitting on an [American] tank on the museum grounds.
  6. Here's something really neat. Specifically the mention of a Sherman IIc. As far as I know, the only Sherman IIc built (M4A1 with 17-pounder) were Canadian Grizzlies, but looks like the British built one too.
  7. The real tanks are the friends you met along the way. Edit: ahahaha Leopard 1 is not a tank PzI is not a tank, and neither are any American tanks pre-1940s ish Ansaldo-Pavesi Wheeled Tank Modello 1925 is not a tank
  8. British and Canadian reports were mixed. Most regiments reported that it sucked and they turned it off, but one reported that they loved it. There was also a trial regarding loading on the move on the Firefly with the stabilizer engaged, the recommendation being to disengage the stabilizer before loading.
  9. Any idea what this could be? The only Vickers light tank of the era I can think of is the Mk.VI, but why bother testing it in 1945?
  10. Forczyk's "Tank Warfare on the Eastern Front 1941-1942" is on sale for under two bucks on Google Play right now, which is a hilariously low price for such a great book.
  11. I went to pee during the casino planet part, and I think I picked a good point in the movie.
