  1. Eh, a 40mm precursor still has a fair amount of penetration. I'm not at my PC so I can't check my papers, but I think it's around 100-150mm depending on type. It could do that yes, but I think a jet from a 40mm shaped charge will be beat up pretty easily by a NERA layer (with the exception of the jet precursor). I don't think I've seen a K-charge precursor actually. (Or I haven't looked hard enough)
  2. Unless your precursor is shit, you can (almost) simply do precursor penetration + main charge penetration = total penetration. Actual penetration will be a bit less because the main charge also has to penetrate the slug left by the precursor jet.
  3. I think that statistically speaking the fire suppression system in the Abrams is its weakest point (it caused the most injuries). So clearly the best way of taking out an Abrams is to light a fire near it.
  4. Don't hide behind "muh secret data" too quickly since a lot of things aren't actually that secret. You'd think that the external ballistic performance of M829A1 would be secret, but whoopsy daisy it's not. Effectiveness of cage armour? We know. APFSDS interception methods of APS and its effectiveness? We know and we can figure it out fairly accurately. Effectiveness of Nozh? We know. Terminal ballistics of HEAT jets? We know. Effectiveness of ERA? We know. Seriously, a lot of information is buried in papers or can be gleaned from papers. But the average military enthusiast can't be arsed to read through thousands upon thousands of pages of information to find interesting tidbits of information.
  5. I'm posting from my phone so posting pictures is a little annoying.
  6. SK-105? If I'm right someone else can post for me, I'm in Denmark at the moment.
  7. I cheated so I won't say, but wow that's a super nasty one @Scolopax, you completely threw me off track.
  8. Correct! Dutch designation is AMX PRB type 2. Also correct! Picture was taken in the Dutch East Indies in 1938.
  9. Nope! It's a DAF YAZ-2300 'Mad Max'. When it was clear that the Netherlands army had to operate in ex-Yugoslav republics not much was known about the possible dangers. So in 5 weeks a unit called "770 Hrstcie" (770 repair company) build 20 armoured cabs for the YAZ-2300 which could be lifted over the cab by its own crane. The armoured cab itself was constructed with polymer plates in a steel frame. After it became clear that these cabs did not provide sufficient protection they were used as static emplacements for an encampment in Santici. At least two variants existed. 10. It's indeed the normal troop carrier variant, the command variant has an extra antenna. Well yes, it is an armoured cab. And it's a DAF but not a YA-4442.
  11. Name and variant if possible Bonus round for infinite points:
  12. T-90K? ...posted in the wrong thread first. Edit: I am also an idiot.
