I must admit to a huge bias here; namely that I have no love for Saudi Arabia at all. They create nothing of value, provide nothing good to the world at large beyond the crude that they just so happen to sit on. So fuck 'em.

Don't you know? Age of Empires is a 100% accurate depiction of the period between the Fall of Rome (which for your convenience is a single date not a process) and the Early Modern period, and the tech tree was an essential part of daily life.
 
It's probably got a lot to do with yearly refreshes on technology being totally incompatible with having an idea of how much more of a difference quality made to effectiveness than form, for example (and a profound misunderstanding of things leading to the idea that all examples of a technology that eventually wins out are superior to all forms of an earlier technology). That and DnD is not based on the middle ages. DnD is based on a pop-cultural idea of the middle ages heavily filtered through Tolkien.

Interesting seeing the guts of an AK like that.

I had to disarm a couple of guys who were hunting deer with an AR.  We kept finding deer run into the neighborhoods with 20 or 30 shots in them.  They would run about a mile and bleed out.  Finally tracked it to two guys.  One yelled at me that we were NAZIs because we were taking his guns from him.  The magistrate who fined them said he was not fining them because of the gun, but because anyone so stupid as to fail to get a kill shot in 30 rounds was too stupid to participate in a democracy, and he was hoping they would move to Somalia.

I'm pretty sure that it's obvious that I consider joking a numbers game and try to work the law of large numbers into getting laughs.

Do what you can to up the odds of people in bad situations being able to get out of those situations.

Efficient damage farmers try to throw the game and miss basically, it's like Hitchhiker's guide on flight. Basically you throw the team under the bus to get damage and a chance for a hard carry which is great for stats, and then you try to hard carry.

And honestly the importance of stats uber alles totally ruined tanks for me. I just can't care that much about actually playing well every pub game, and it sounds like Faust's feeling is rooted in similar feeling.

And then they're going to demand the AF cut something else instead, and it's probably going to be unglamorous but vitally necessary.

I'm glad to see he doesn't think that being gay is a bad thing to do, but I wish he'd also legislated according to that belief.
