  1. Agreed, current makers could really step things up , but I suspect a lot of their management is still somewhat stuck in the 1960's.
  2. one critique- " It's the exact same tired talking points that they started with in the 20s and 30s" As in" 1920's". When I get back to the house I'll scan in an editorial piece and an article from a '32 "American Rifleman" , that would be just a relevant today.
  3. What a shitty piece. Classic yellow journalism.
  4. It's not a bad translation, I took it to mean "forced induction", so it "worked"..
  5. Well, just the "joe has a bunch of app-armor kits kit and orders to apply this kit to all tanks in this park, so joe gets to work", I've seen applied firsthand. It's probably "wrong" in a technical sense, but "right" in that it probably was done by some government authority for reasons they did not comprehend.
  6. "Forced Engine" I'm guessing means supercharged?
  7. Compared to kits I grew up with? They aren't THAT bad.
  8. More like "Whut?" power. When you are so focused on looking for every tidbit in an administration that you see things that aren't there- "Behold, the Power of Whut".
  9. For me, sitting in a Focus feels like I'm wearing a ballcap, with the brim pulled way down. It's as if they expect people to drive in some semi-recumbent position. I'm happier with a more vertical seating position, something that does little to help my baldness in most modern cars.
  10. But, is it a WEBLEY bayonet? (cause I have all kinds of other British bayonets. )
  11. As has mine, we've been there bud. (I'll be satisfied with a bayonet. For my MkVI Webley..)
  12. Then LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS. Nobody is out to flay your hide. That being said if you could find me a mint condition Parker-Hale target sight for my No1MkIII I might be persuaded to forgive you.. (just kidding).
  13. "What a puerile comment.....Are you somehow under the impression that the Express is the voice of the UK Government or Her Majesty's Opposition?" (expressing that said commenter is beneath understanding of media in discussion) I know your 'country' has been subject to rule by media for some time, but that's just not how it works in the civilised world. (Inferring said country is somehow "beneath" other nations or collectives) Granted, this for me is an amusement at most, but if you did not see this coming, you were wearing blinders in the railroad tunnel.
  14. Your post on the 19'th would suggest other. I would also suggest that "jokes work both ways", be cautious in their application.
  15. Are you a snaggletoothed, Cockeny spewing, hunchbacked mongoloid?
  16. I cannot think of a Ford product OTHER than A truck I would consider buying.
  17. Really NASA needs to be looking for people who are singularly unhappy with everything "here", and instead of looking for reasons to exclude them, looking for reasons to include them. Pioneers are rarely a stable lot.
  18. Relatives have dragged me to a few phone/browser based games. They all are "meh". Lacking a proper system (I am on a laptop for now) I cannot do much. This new job may pay off eventually, but for now I am not really on much of anything .
  19. If you are told to weld kit A to all the tanks in yard B, you do so. It may very well be that simple. Or it may be some postwar "mod order XXX" because someone was worried about shot giving the BOG a headache.
  20. That's akin to the compilation of ridiculously contradictory articles Salon (So Loon) has put out. It makes me wonder if they have an editor who can read, or if said editor thinks their readers have very short attention spans.
