  1. Do you really believe he would ever be permitted to expose the dirty linen of the elite to public scrutiny? Julian Assange went down that road and now he's stuck in the Ecuadorean embassy in London costing our tax-payers a fortune, courtesy of.....
  2. TBH, the obvious problem for 'Gun Sniffer Dogs' in an armed society will probably be sensory overload.....The dog is playing 'find the smell, get the ball', but it can't easily** distinguish between the 'friendly firearms' of law enforcement etc. and those of an intruder. ** I reckon this could be done, but the work would be massive and the dogs would need to be very special indeed.....Concealed carry permit holders would still have a few issues though.
  3. Jackets are expensive man! Does not this whole thing rather smell of desperation & paranoia?
  4. I had presumed that was what we were about here, stating our respective opinions? I'd love to give you mine on the blunt knife thing, but I can't quite find adequate words at the moment. PS - Actually, I don't need to, Meplat nailed it exactly: It's the former. Rich pricks and their total social-disconnect are as big a problem for us as they are for you.....Mao had the answer IMHO (But Alabama 3 express it better): Of course, you guys are rather better equipped on that front than we are.....Maybe you should lead by example? It's my belief that this is exactly why your founding fathers enshrined the right to bear arms (and why our government restricts it).
  5. Quick clarification of why Robinson was arrested & charged (swiped from the Beeb, but it is accurate): The law on contempt is set out in case law and the 1981 Contempt of Court Act. It sets out the key areas and broad principles of what will amount to contempt. They include: Publishing anything that creates a substantial risk of seriously prejudicing "active" criminal proceedings. Proceedings are 'active' when a suspect is arrested Bringing into a court building a device for recording sound Breaching the confidentiality of the jury's deliberations Taking photographs or film in a court building is capable of being a contempt of court, as Tommy Robinson found out. And breaching a court order or undertakings given to the court can also amount to contempt. What percentage do you think are actually functional & monitored.....You might be surprised? Frankly CCTV doesn't bother me in the slightest, simply because they have had no negative effect on my life whatsoever. One of my mates makes his living in that field though, so there's definitely some up-sides on that front. I've recently discussed with my neighbours the idea of installing a low-light motion-tracking TV with a shared feed, to over-watch the area between our properties. Since the police asked to mount one of their CCTV systems on one of our office buildings the sort of petty vandalism we suffered on a regular basis has declined massively. I just feel so oppressed. The TV license is a subsidy to the BBC and TBH it is one I object to rather strongly. There's a much bigger difference IMHO.....In the US you will very likely end up dead, in the UK not so much.
  6. You don't trust dogs to detect cancer then I guess.....Presumably the clinicians must somehow be signalling that cancer cells are present in the patient (even thought they wouldn't know).
  7. Coming from a septic that is priceless.....Your cities are in ruins and you are the slaves of your police & corporations, to quote George Carlin, 'They own you!':
  8. & I love how the British judicial system doesn't let racist morons prejudice a trial, thus offering an easy route to appeal (at not inconsiderable expense to the taxpayer) for 49 Islamic fundamentalists, who are being tried for grooming and raping 700 women and children. Why not try refusing an improper order from one of your law enforcement officers and then tell me all about how fucking free you are.....Assuming you survive the experience of course.
  9. Powder residue, gun oil perhaps.....I reckon you could probably train a Spaniel to sniff out firearms. EDIT - Apparently you can and it's being done with increasing frequency: https://wagwalking.com/sense/can-dogs-smell-firearms
  10. Some interesting new info on Guccifer 2.0 & the DNC hack: https://disobedientmedia.com/2018/05/guccifer-2-0s-american-fingerprints-reveal-an-operation-made-in-the-usa/ It's high time for Trump to do what he said (again) & have Clinton & her cronies busted.....They'll squeal like rats and then the whole rotten edifice will come tumbling down.
  11. That is some seriously fucking terrible reporting: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-44287640 Fucking up on-going trials will get you nicked in most countries.
  12. Hillary & the Novichoks: https://search.wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/09STATE32931_a.html Pretty convinced Craig Murray has cracked this case, his theory makes for interesting reading, for Yanks & Brits alike: https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2018/05/yulia-skripal-and-the-salisbury-wut/
  13. Have to concede, I didn't think that idea through very well at all. It's just such a miserable bloody mess, it depresses me, I remember my dad trying to explain it to me in 1973, I was really worried for Israel at the time. Over the years the situation changed and I've found my sympathies tilting toward the Palestinian cause, backing the underdog I guess. A friend then became actively involved in the Palestinian cause and found herself coming under Israeli fire, which didn't do much for my opinion of the IDF. As for how England might react under similar circumstances.....Who knows? But I'm pretty confident such issues will be resolved around a table, rather than with live fire. Maybe Israel should give that option another try, but with the understanding that they will actually need to make some tangible concessions? Meanwhile the horror continues: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/palestinian-on-fire-gaza-protests-street-israel-living-conditions-fathi-harb-sheikh-radwan-a8361221.html?amp
  14. What you are proposing there sounds an awful lot like the end of NATO.
  15. Easy.....How about not shooting until they actually breach the fence, and closing a few illegal settlements as an act of good will? Sending some of your world class medical personnel in to fix the damage you've done would be a bloody good idea too. Ending the illegal siege of Gaza couldn't hurt either. The list of things that Israel could do is endless.....But murder is easier, or so it seems.
  16. That would be the point where my sympathies for the Palestinian cause would evaporate.....But right now, Israel needs to show more restraint, maybe make some concessions, you know, for the sake of peace and all that.
  17. Equipped with a mighty immune system and the ability to turn invisible at convenient times?
  18. If this shit was black & white simple, it would have been sorted long ago.....Neither side can claim complete innocence in this issue. External parties supporting one side or the other exclusively, while applying obvious double standards, can never help of course. PS - & then there are the bible-bashers to consider too. PPS - @Mighty_Zuk This is not personal or even an attack on Israel, I'd say just the same if this were my government's policies at work rather than yours (this should be pretty bloody obvious based on my posts here to date).
  19. Well I wouldn't say we are diametrically opposed in views, but my support for Israel is pretty limited these days.....I have very good reasons for this.
  20. But was it a legal fire? Cheers for the clarification.
  21. Pretty sure all the arguments were factual, at least until he started spouting Israeli nationalist gobshite and trying to pass it off as something real, or meaningful.
